Really enjoying the a2a Aerostar

Featured Replies

This is still "early access" but feels quite polished and a blast to fly!

a2a is building a first rate piston twin and the flight model is really immersive.

Not inexpensive, but sometimes you get what you pay for..

  • Total agreement Bert. A2A "early access" is better than many RTRM offerings. I'm loving it!

    It's not so ugly from the driver's seat. In fact it's kinda purty . 😁

Amazing that your plane’s registration matches your name.  Will wonders never cease! 😎😎😎

I already have over 30 hours in it. The visibility has to be the best of any dual twin GA in the sim. I’m definitely looking forward to some additional liveries.

It's become my favorite GA cross country machine in the sim.  Perfect mix of classic panel with modern capabilities, implemented in exactly the fiddly way you see this done 😉.  Fast enough to get places and a fantastic IFR platform, but the great visibility makes the sightseeing excellent while you're going places.  The flight model is just beautiful.  Love this thing.

I love everything A2A have released, and probably would this too - if it wasn't so bloody ugly.  🤣  I daresay my resistance will crumble one day.

It strikes me the same way, but since it’s A2A, I know for sure I’m gonna get it soon

Alternatively, they could solve all my “problems” by releasing the Civ Mustang 😎

I love it, except for the seat smell … kinda crunchy on my buttocks.

EDIT: not sure why prior A2A fans aren’t jumping on this one?

You're right about the seats. Even a molly coddled plane would show signs of seats actually having been sat on. I'll go and ask if a modicum of wear is in the pipeline.

Exactly. A2A could produce one of these, and the Accusim flight model /systems would eventually draw me in;

@Bert Pieke has many more planes with the same registration as this Aerostar; C-BERT can be found all over the place! Amazing the TCCA is so lenient... 😁

Can't speak for anyone else, but for me I just lost interest in them. The Comanche wasn't really my thing but I bought it anyway...then have never really flown it because it didnt inspire me at all.  I dont want to (and can't afford to) go down the same route with the aerostar that equally isn't my thing.
