Just tried a flight into Tokyo Haneda.

At least 2 of the runways are what I can only describe as trenches. There is a 4 to 5 foot drop from the surrounding airport scenery, making it impossible to taxi off the runway.

Havent flown into Tokyo in the sim for a while but dont remember this issue pre todays update.

Default or DD RJAA?

Flew in there (DD RJAA) yesterday and it was fine.  4 1/2 hours into a 15 hour haul to RJAA today so I hope I can land when I get there...

  • Man, people were fine with FSX/P3D offering just a plausible world with mediocre graphics at its best. Many spent thousands in scenery. Today we have a sim that is giving us the world (most of it anyw

  • They knocked it out of the park with this update. I’m thankful they continue to invest resources in updating the planet’s digital twin. But candidly, the lack of gratitude and grousing from the flight

  • Thanks MS/Asobo for yet another free update, unrequested, just a gift I did nothing to deserve.  Cheers and thanks, keep up the awesome work!

Doh...  Reading comprehension is like a D- this morning at best, should have kept paying attention past "Tokyo"   That's what I get for skimming topics.

Thanks @Tuskin38

I don't have any major elevation issues at Haneda on my end. I am running the SU4 beta though, idk if they touched RJTT in that.

Can you provide a screenshot?

Also what sim are you running?

Try with PG turned off.

I assume he already has it turned off and that's the cause.

I just chechked the airport with PG on and I don't see what he is seeing. No bumps, everything is as it should be.

I fear for any Samscene scenery in the area......

Yeap, their Tokyo City scenery. I think it'll be broken and will need an update, since now after WU20 Tokyo has been enhanced with PG.

Cheers, Ed

Community Manager Chewwy just mentioned a Haneda issue was fixed server side earlier, so that might be why we're not seeing it now, assuming that was the issue.

Aircraft used in MSFS 2024:  Fenix A320,  Aerosoft CRJ, FBW, WT 787X, I-Fly 737 MAX 8, Citation Longitude.

In the beginning, Asobo did not have such grandiose plans like they did later on when MSFS was established as a super important success. And so whichever was going to be #1 World Update would be so much less than later ones. It was unlucky Japan who was #1. And they got short shifted. I have been hoping for a solid Japan update forever!

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

Quick Update:

Revisited Haneda and hey presto! No more sunken runways.

As @Tuskin38 said, it looks as if the issue has been fixed server side.
