Why not start it in the Hangar? That is after all the forum subpart meant for all discussions non aviation related.

Agree with Farlis - start a thread in the hangar and link me to it and I'll be happy to talk further about it. Ryzen 7 7800X3D/B650 X AX | 5090 | 32gig | Win10 | Pimax Crystal Light
November 1, 2025Nov 1 I am getting really annoyed by SI's bombardment with emails. I created an account and tried it early on, but decided to wait since it was fairly expensive for what it delivered. They got me interested again when they added VR, but they quickly raised their prices after that and I decided this won't be for me. Even before that I unsubscribed from their email list, with no effect. I then deleted my SI account, still got emails. I clicked on "unsubscribe" on these emails 2-3 times and still get these messages. Very unprofessional. In my eyes, these messages are now in the spam category. I now blocked their address, hopefully that will put a stop to it.

Document it, including the date you unsubscribed. Then report them to the FTC https://consumer.ftc.gov/consumer-alerts/2023/08/ftc-lawsuit-reminds-businesses-can-spam-means-cant-spam

I will be reporting them to the anti-spam authorities in my country and will never ever either purchase this scammy product, nor will I ever recommend it. And I will recommend you don't use it. Brian has showed his way of doing business - spam, fraudulent marketing.. the desperation is evident and has all the hallmarks of a scam product that will die soon. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

That is really strange, why would then need to permanently block your email? The other points I can understand but there is no need to block an email forever? I always felt like SI, Brian specifically, was a fairly arrogant salesperson who would basically attempt to gaslight you into believing that what we were experiencing was actually a normal occurrence in real-life ATC environments. I was a subscriber for a month a while ago and would seek support on Discord during my flights in an attempt to provide feedback and aid in the development of the product, I was hoping it was going to turn into a great ATC product. On multiple occasions he would look at my flight log during the flight and then come back 1 minute later and say ‘that’s fixed now, you won’t see that again’. The point at which I gave up was when I was on a STAR into KFRG from the Boston area only to get vectored off the STAR a full 50 miles to the west, nowhere close to where I was going and certainly not something a real life controller would do, Brian tried to reason with me that this was a possible scenario IRL. It's kind of unfortunate in my opinion - I thought SI was on a good trajectory in the beginning and I saw it do some good things in VFR, like not allowing me to land at an airport that had closed while enroute, which I verified to be true IRL, that was nice. Hopefully they'll get it figured out, it seems like if they can get the focus back to creating a good, accurate, functional ATC experience and controlling the price they could be successful. It sure feels like the trajectory has changed since the beginning. Maybe one day I'll come back if they get it working well.....oh wait, I deleted my account so now I'm blocked....lol

I’ve never encountered that with any other company before, and for me, that’s a clear no-go. Another aspect I didn’t appreciate was that, with a one-month subscription, you have to cancel it manually in your account; otherwise, it automatically renews. While it’s certainly a solid product, the relatively high price made it an easy decision for me to move on. Kind regards, Markus Win11Pro - i713700KF - RTX3080Ti

That's standard business practice that many companies that have these kinds of subscriptions have. They count on the customers forgetting. That's why I always cancel a monthly subscription one minute after I activated it, so that I don't forget.
