Massive CSS News

As some of you may or may not know CSS is a rather unknown dev that’s been working on releasing the 737 classic lineup. Initially released the -500 that went rather poorly to say the least but they’ve consistently been updating but went quiet for a few months.

they’ve announced:

- a revamped launcher,

- release of -300, -400 and freighter variants (including all engine ratings for each variant) with a multitude of liveries.

- Native FS24 variants

- separate FM for winglet variants

- revised pricing model

**Sales & Pricing Policies revamp**

A lot of community feedback has been directed at our subscription-based sales model, with many users wishing for variant-specific purchase options. As such, they’ll be pleased to hear that we have *revamped our sales policy* to include the following variants:

**-    The current monthly, yearly and permanent license options will remain available and grant you access to all CSS 737 Classic variants.**
**-    The 737-300, 737-400 and 737-500 passenger versions will be available as standalone, permanent purchases priced at $45 each.**
**-    The 737-300 and 737-400 freighters will be available as add-ons to their respective passenger versions for $10 each.**
**-    The monthly and yearly subscription options will ONLY be available for purchase via the CSS Launcher.**
**-    If you have an active subscription, the standalone variants will not be available for purchase until your subscription expires.**
**-    If you purchase a standalone variant, you will no longer be able to purchase the subscriptions or the $120 full permanent license.**
These changes will take effect with the release of the new 737 Classic variants.

We hope these new options will be flexible enough for everyone to enjoy our products however they like!

- A massive change log for various fixes to the -500

theyre also in the process of redoing the -500 from the ground up with photogrammetry and FS24 features.

while I understand a number of people dislike CSS for very good reason they seem really committed to turning things around and I’m eager to see the classics realised in MSFS. Though of course it mostly matters when we as consumers have it in our hands.

A "Classic" 737 would be the 200

Revised pricing-$45 each is more to my liking for outright/perpetual.

MacBook Neo: A18 Pro with 6-core processor and 5-core graphics 8GB Unified Memory, macOS Tahoe, X-Plane 12 (12.40).

Mac mini: M4 chip with 10 core processor, 10 core graphics, 16 GB Unified Memory, 256GB SSD, macOS Tahoe, X-Plane 12 (12.40), X-Plane 11 (11.55).

Lenovo Legion 5 16IRX9: Intel Core i9-14900HX, 32GB DDR5-4800 RAM, 1TB Micron NVMe SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 8 GB GPU and Intel UHD Graphics 16EU iGPU, Windows 11 Home, MSFS 2024 and 2020, X-Plane 12 (12.40), X-Plane 11 (11.55) and Lenovo LOQ 15 15IAX9: Intel Core i5-12450HX, 24GB DDR5-4800 RAM, 1TB Solidigm NVMe SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 4GB GPU and Intel UHD Graphics 16EU iGPU, Windows 11 Home, MSFS 2024 and 2020, XX-Plane 12 (12.40), X-Plane 11 (11.55).

Alienware m15 R7: Intel Core i7-12700H, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8GB, Windows 11 Home, MSFS 2024 and 2020, X-Plane 12 (12.40), X-Plane 11 (11.55).

Really excited the other variants are so close. Depending on how well it all works in 2024 I might just dive in and buy the full pack as an early Xmas gift for myself.

Nice! It took me a little while to get used to -300s when they first delivered, but I still like the -300 -400 and -500!

I hope they nail it, I’m on the sidelines for now but really really want to do Qantas / Startrak runs

They call that a "Jurassic". 😉

45$ each... so that sets you back to 135$ if you want 733,734 and 735. Add 20$ if you want the freighter as well 🫣

I find that very expensive for that level of quality (visual and audible).

It's $120 for all as one lifetime purchase.

No comment on whether the full package is worth it or not.

Yeah, ... nah.

Would love Justflight to do the 737 Classics as they where THE variants back in the day when I became an avgeek.

What would they call the -100 😁

Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

I'll probably grab the -400.  $45 seems perfectly fair if the fidelity is decent (I haven't been keeping up with this one).  First ever flight in the real airplane as a new hire FO was in a -400... Would be fun to see if I remember where anything is lol.

Great Andrew.  Obviously you opinion would be valuable to us.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

I‘ll stay sceptical, they release the other variants when their first released variant has still huge flaws in almost every area you can immagine.
The pricing is better, but still if you want to price your aircraft in the PMDG/Fenix price range, it needs to be close to that fidelity (and yes, I know iniBuilds is another offender of that kind).
Since the FSS E-Jet I‘m personally done with new developers that release their first product in a miserable state and say they‘ll fix this „later“ (the E-Jets still have no proper FMS/LNAV/VNAV 3 years later…).
Fenix has shown how to step onto the stage with your first product
