November 25, 2025Nov 25 Hello, I finally took the plunge and installed FS 2024 (thanks to a friend of mine who was so generous as to offered it to me for my birthday!). The installation went smoothly and to my big surprise, it is working perfectly on my extremely poor 13mb/s internet connection. I can't believe it! It is contrary to all expectations. The scenery is beautiful, no stutters, no blurries. Happy flying! My gallery: http://s1075.photobucket.com/albums/w430/yankeegolf/

I installed the new sim when it first released and basically haven't used 2020 now for over a year. 2024 has come a long way in the last year. Enjoy simming and see you next year. November 25, 2025Nov 25 I bought FS2024 day one and of coarse had a lot of bizarre problems like many others that slowly improved within weeks of release however it still had some nagging troubles for a while longer. I stuck it out with FS2020 and only dived into FS2024 occasionally. Starting about 2 months ago I have pretty much exclusively use FS2024 now and its a great sim. I am not even on the SU4 beta and just waiting for its official release (hopefully very soon). A lot of things that did not work well or at all just 6 months ago now seem to be working fine. Either most developers released updates or stuff just magically started working because of updates within the server side of the sim. I am still in the process of migrating things over but so far so great. FS2024 for the most part looks better and performance is out of this world better. Also I can launch FS2024 and be rolling down the runway inside of 5 minutes whereas it takes 20 minutes at least for FS2020 to start a flight. For those still holding out I think its real close now. I got a few friends who are still holding out but hopefully SU4 convinces them to switch. Like it or not if you want new stuff you will have to switch to FS2024.

I've been through the lows and the highs. But what did I always tell myself? I used to fly FSX for years and that was pure pain. Enjoy! Jase
