I'm not sure if any of the PS5 builds have been with SU4. If not they may want to let it settle first.

Hello @BrammyH,

The PS5 Early Access release that is currently launching globally (staggered by region) is indeed SU4, but it's a slightly earlier build (1.006.028) than the latest PC/Xbox beta build (1.6.31.0).

Thanks,

This YouTuber said the same thing about SU3 and ended up being about two weeks off.

SU4 not too far away though I reckon.  Looking forward to it.

Yes I remember that - it was laughable and might have been more than two weeks later actually.  In the video he spoke like he had some privileged or inside information.

There is more from the past, but basically I just don't like the content of his videos.  I followed some of his advice in his early videos and found it to be complete waste of time.   Like turning off frame generation to avoid stutters.

I've been in su4 beta the entire time and there are already many many fixes.  Many glaring issues like on the CJ4 and TBM 930 are now fixed!

Thanks for confirming.  I thought I had seen reports of that somewhere.
I am waiting for the C207, and some of the other local legends / famous flyers etc. left behind in 2020.

I think listening to Jorg in the last Twitch developer stream, they set themselves an internal target for the updates.  I couldn't quite hear but it sounded like seventy aircraft.  That's quite a target!
Personally I would be happy with a fraction of that - as long as the C207 is one of them.

After examining the runes, I'm betting on Fria's day (Friday) instead of Wotan's day (Wednesday). Least likely is Thor's day (Thursday).

I've been burned by joining a sim update beta before and MS has wiped my entire MSFS and all of my freeware and payware addons as a result.  Once bitten, twice shy.

I also went with windows insider for a quick fix some months ago and had no idea that the only way to get out of it was to reinstall windows and all of my other programs along with it, so I got burned again and I'm stuck with a windows update every week now and not all of them aer great.

Never joining anything for early access ever again.

I don't like releases on a Friday in case there is a show stopper that has crept in.  I know it shouldn't, but if they release and go home for the weekend is is too late to doo anything until the following week.

Tuesdays releases are nice (Named after the Norse god Tiw or Tyr - thanks @Fielder for the Norse history lessons ), and I think next Tuesday would give them enough time now to knock any remaining rough edges off as long as they have finished with the major changes.

I dive in and out of the beta now anyway (very easy to do with a fast internet connection), so as I said above, I am not too fussed when the final release is.

Jorg has said in the past they shoot for Tuesdays and Thursdays for release. But I think SU3 may have hit on a Wednesday.

Fair enough.  One of the things with MSFS is we all seem to have slightly different experiences.  I have been in and out of this beta three times now and not had any trouble with the install side of things.
I used the appropriate version of Rex Atmos and it all worked well.

I am looking to rejoin at the weekend if the final isn't out, as I saw something in the last release notes that might fix my slow re-loading of analogue instruments when switching views.  (I saw other people experiencing the same in their YouTube videos).  I would like to test if it is cured.

Put down your hammer, Thor, Wotan takes the lead in the betting odds. (the other guy is Loge).

How come the ATC window stutter is not being fixed? All those updates and it the sim still stutters when opening ATC window.

At least its not Loki's Day (Lostday). We'd all be fooled!

Sounds likely depending on your ATC data needs.  Not for default ATC so far.
