December 9, 2025Dec 9 This is truely not intended to be any form of troll. Seriously. and fully sincere. Have been on this site since 1998 or 1999. When was it that Sierra Propilot was released. Was here prior to that. Having just reviewed the list of what was addressed in SU4, a year after 2024 release, and still having valued aircraft addons , sceneries, and liveries not yet fully compatible, all I can say is we are nearing what should have been MSFS 2026. Just look at that list. Have been an IBM PC owner/user and flight sim enthusiast since late 1981 and cannot recall any other software release of any kind over those years with a history like this. I appreciate what we have, recognize some is still missing, and scratch my head at the time needed to reach MSFS 2024. I look back a year and ask what were they thinking. Would you buy flight sim hardware with that many issues? Just feel it needs to be said. Customers deserve better. December 9, 2025Dec 9 I dunno. FSW95/FS98/FS2000 or FS2002 one of those was a stutterfest for me, and it was never really fixed for me, but I was younger and had more patience. But at least today, problems GENERALLY are getting fixed. Maybe not at the speed we'd like, but then that's a whoie 'nuther topic. I'd like a SU devoted to weather, but it hasn't happened yet and may not! Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

But MSFS is no more guilty of this than any major game these days. Software quality overall has seen a massive decline - so much so that the next version of Mac OS has been announced as a bug-fix only, "Snow Leopard" style release. I'm just happy that 2024 is finally where it's at. Frankly, these days, with the way the world is, I'll take what I can get in flight sim! 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

December 9, 2025Dec 9 I'm always left scratching my head when I see this 'released a year too early' stuff. I've had the best simming year of my whole life and am so grateful for it. The first year of 2020 was much worse for me. SU4 seems to have bumped it up to yet another level but wow, what a year it has been! I'm so glad I didn't have to wait. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base
December 9, 2025Dec 9 I'd be absolutely fine if they just keep offering the SU/WU updates for 2020/2024 rather than come up with another sim. Just do not see what a new one can offer that these two are currently offering. December 9, 2025Dec 9 Unless they have some sort of massive technological breakthrough I see no reason for another "new" title anytime soon, also seeing as it's taken a year to get this to a V1.0 standard then I'd think twice before buying into their Hype Train ever again. They need a few years of stability whilst building on the current iteration, gives the modders a chance to settle down as well without worrying about another title to upgrade their work on. December 9, 2025Dec 9 A flightsim is so complex that it is very difficult to iron it bugs free. Don't forget that none of us has exactly the same simulator as we all have different add-ons, freeware or payware, different hardware, different kind of PC. We need patience. msfs24 slowly come to a mature simulator and we have something in our hands, that we couldn't immagine a few years back. But like always, hisory will repeat. A new msfs28 or msfs30 will appear one day and people will swear that they will never leave msfs24 because it runs perfectly! Anf those people are mostly those who says that they will never leave msfs as today 😉

True. I have MSFS2020. The developer initially mentioned MSFS2020 would have support for a 10 year run. That is good. MSFS2020 and my addons runs well with my current 2019 vintage PC. Have not purchased a new PC (est. $5000 US as I mentioned here long ago) to support a new MSFS2024 product. Currently waiting for MSFS2026 (or later) release / review before considering any new PC or hardware upgrade. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW

I'd rather have something stable and functional from the start and a more solid release than the other way around !! 🤔 cheers 😉 08.2024 new PC is online : ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F GAMING WIFI Mainboard, AMD Ryzen™ 9 7950X3D Prozessor, G.Skill DIMM 64 GB DDR5-6000 (2x 32 GB) Dual-Kit, MSI GeForce RTX 4090 VENTUS 3X E 24G OC Grafikkarte, 2x WD Black SN850X NVMe SSD 4 TB - Drive C+D, WD Gold Enterprise Class 12 TB for storage HDD, Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 1000W PC - Power supply, Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO CPU Aircooler with 7 Heatpipes, Design Meshify 2 White TG Clear Tint Tower-Case, 3x 4K monitors 2x32 Samsung 1x27 LG 3840x2160, Windows11 Prof. 23H2 - now Windows11 Prof. 25H2 Flightsimulator Hardware: Honeycomb Throttle Bravo, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, Logitech Flight Joke System, XBox Controller, some Thrustmaster stuff, Winwing CDU Panels.

I was under the impression patience comes with age, but as for those four FS2000 was the worsted for flight simming not to mentioned how it looked 🤣 We are leaps ahead from that age including fixes in the past we had 1 sp if we where lucky. Incase of FSX 2 sp released but that was it, hence ACES/MS abandoned the series and we where at a dark place regarding options for flight simming for the MS series. André
