I install my drivers with NVCleaninstall program so I get nothing but the driver from NVIDIA on my system. the reg edit is used to show what DLSS mode you are in by mean of a screen display - you can do that (Alt Z) and change DLSS modes using the Nvidia app now. Today flying the iniBuilds A350, the altitude tape starts ghosting around 2500fpm. Is it the best? No, but the overall picture quality and lack of jagged lines in the distance make this very much doable. 4.5 IMO is a game changer for me at least. I can put up with just a touch of ghosting mentioned above for much better results vs. TAA. Also with 4.5, the night lights are just as bright and crisp as TAA now which was another drawback of the older DLSS versions. By the way, I am using DLSS-DLAA mode so no downscaling and upscaling and I’m on a 4k TV. What preset ate you on? M? Thanks

For me, it seems that I have lost a fair bit of performance in DLAA since installing the new Nvidia driver and DLSS 4.5. I wonder that too. In VR with my 5090, DLAA gives me the best image quality for the aircraft I sim fly, but with with the new driver and DLSS 4.5 FPS was noticeably less. After giving DLSS Quality a try, it was at best a wash compared to pre-update DLAA. Ended up reverting back, for MSFS isn't the only thing I run. January 14Jan 14 I love the DLSS 4.5 SuperResolution component, because as a VR only flyer: DLSS FrameGen does not work in VR, so our only option to increase fps with every in-game settings equal is to adjust and try out the various Model Presets and SuperResolution upscaling (Quality-Balanced-Performance etc). I am happy with DLSS 4.5 because I am not obsessed with the "vertical speed tape decimal values are blurry in glass cockpits above 2.800 ft vertical speed". I am impressed how good DLSS 4.5 looks and performs in VR considering less than 1/2 number of pixels are rendered by the game (67% resolution in 2D) in QUALITY mode (2.0 million 2D pixel upscaled to 4.5 million pixel to Pimax VR), all the others are "fake pixels" just like FrameGens "fake frames" 🤣. But in return, we VR users have one advantage: we can always move our head closer to the instrument panel to better see the fine print, a feature 2D mode users usually don't have (unless Toby eye tracker perhaps). With DLSS upscaling I usually get around 60 fps with a Pimax Crystal Light (vs. 30 fps in FS2020 with HP Reverb at much lower resolution), 60 fps is a fantastic value for VR where everything needs to be rendered twice, (120 fps with in FrameGen 2D).
