BATC Experimental receives substantial update

or is that turn left

And once it said 'descent to 11000'  and soon after 'descend to 12000'

but I still use BATC every flight. Would not leave home without it LOL

Its a simulation, will never ever be real

It is always astonishing as some people fail to read properly or otherwise try to intentional descredit a certain product. BATC is Early access!!! So, if you buy it, you buy to test it or, if y

Hello, This statement is incorrect. BeyondATC does take altitude into consideration, including with the older vectoring system that is currently used in the Early Access version. That said, this

SI is doing the same micromanagement with vectors, but it's gettin better and better. You have an option to fly full STAR/SID or request vectors or direct-to.

Their AI traffic stilld desires the best, albeit they post almost daily fixes.

let me fly essentially all of the KOPAG 13 transition, except for a vector onto final at the very end that wasn't strictly necessary

You have that in reverse. Depending on the traffic situation it is not strictly necessary to fly the entire transition

I believe you misunderstood me.

By "it let me fly all of the transition", I didn't mean "it allowed me to fly all of the transition" but "it made me fly all of the transition". In this case, I was OK with that because the KOPAG 13 transition, unlike most transitions in Germany, is not an S-shaped transition but rather takes you pretty directly to the FAP. You could shave a few miles off it with a vector, but having to fly the entire transition is definitely not terrible.

The vector that BeyondATC gave me was after I had already passed DK415, at which point a vector is pretty pointless - it doesn't materially change my flight path, because I'm about to intercept the localizer anyway. That's what my comment was about.

With S-shaped transitions, I do care very much about not being made to fly the whole transition. See my comments about "plodding around at low level for no good reason" on the flight to EDDN.

I'm looking for VFR, as for IFR I have a already ATC.
Reading here and there... Who was using Si and BATC regarding VFR, what you can recommended?

I’ve used both. For VFR SI is your only option. And frankly, it does it quite well. Although VFR isn’t as difficult as it’s not controlling you so much as just talking to you. But $20 a month is a lot for simulated comms. I use BATC for IFR and my imagination for VFR.

BATC does not have VFR yet, but it's coming next.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

But who knows when “next” is in the FS Early Access software world. Lol

FS Eventually Access software

😂 I don't know. I've had the FSS E-jets for over two years and not sure Eventually is realistic.

Pretty much what I do. Tried SI VFR. It was better then nothing, but to expensive for me. (I liked SI. I wont deny)

What I miss most flying VFR is traffic around the smaller airports. Hope when BATC implements VFR they also have the traffic with it not just ATC.

MSFS 2024 -Too many airplanes to name. Too many airports to name.

Thank you for your messages! Then I try Si for one month, but you right, is too expensive for subscription, especially if you don't fly VFR each day. So yea... Maybe even non ATC, just fly and enjoy around without "chatter".
I deleted BATC, that's why I'm asking, don't want install again and waste time, so thanks for feedback! I have my setup with FShud, configured my favorite airports according real AIP, using costume AI models and different sources. Yea, voices in BATC somewhere better, but unfortunately BATC can't give me at least 80 active aircraft and proper vectoring...
So will be waiting BATC for VFR! Definitely will use BATC as no subscription for VFR

Did a flight CYVR-RJAA last night and it was great. Of course there’s tiny little things here and there - it’s a simulation at the end of the day.

Arrival into Narita was a cool experience - I had all traffic sliders at 10 and it kept everyone separate. Was great hearing so many voices and accents on the radio and people being properly sequenced via speed instructions. I had to fly 190kts for the last 15 minutes as I was on the STAR behind a Hawaiian A330 and there were dozens of arrivals all merging together at the FAF in near perfect harmony. The traffic map looked crazy with aircraft sequenced properly and the spaghettis all coming together from the different STARs and departures going out.

Tower was clearing aircraft for take off in between the landing ones on 16R and told them to hurry up due to arriving traffic on final. The Hawaiian landed about 3 miles ahead of me and exited promptly but it was quite an experience not getting my landing clearance until he had fully vacated and I was maybe at 500ft. Big improvement versus before, where I constantly got cleared before even turning final.

The new local voice model is great - adds such immersion and the Japanese accent was authentic but actually understandable, unlike the old basic voices.
Is it perfect - of course not! But it’s come a long way and the latest update is a great step forward. I hope we’ll get vectors/shortcuts on transitions and holdings soon.

Ended my experiment with P2ATC. It didn’t go too well. Version 2 was better than 3 for me, but just had a lot of speech recognition issues. Might be my mic setup, but yelling at the ATC at 2am was a nonstarter.

BTW, GSX Pro was pretty cool but I was experiencing issues with MSFS 2024 and the Fenix A320, and it just became a crapshoot as to if i could ever complete a flight. Back to BATC.
