FSLTL: Static injection only from 2026/04/30 due to lost API

I already made a decision for them. 😀

After installing & testing AIG Models & the TC with MSFS 2024 SU4, I decided to delete the FSLTL fleet & the Injector.

The AIG Traffic Fleet and installation process has come a long way. The models load the sim faster, they are easier on fps, and work even better with BATC than the FSLTL models. I don't see floating GA at airports and the models are in color and not white.

Now I understand why every YT video I ever saw on AIG kept saying, the installation process was worth it.

NO WAY!!!!! I have only use FSLTL Injector to place static aircraft. The injector should NOT DIE, it should at the minimum remain as a way of intelligently placing static aircraft.

OK, we're getting into unhappy territory here with accusations of theft being tossed about, so I'm locking this one down. If data is made available on a publicly-accessible website with no access

Actually, there is: PSXT (free) + RealTraffic (~$9/mo)

First and most important - Flightradar24 and FSLTL never had an agreement. FSLTL has been steeling Flightradar24 data for many years without permission which is breaking the terms and conditions.

First and most important - Flightradar24 and FSLTL never had an agreement. FSLTL has been steeling Flightradar24 data for many years without permission which is breaking the terms and conditions.

Secondary, Flighradar24 never had a free API, so once again FSLTL has just been stealing data for years without paying.

FSLTL has been trying to get an agreement by saying “We have been stealing it for free so give to us for free instead”

Data stealing has become a very big problem for Flightradar24 and some of the recent downtimes have been triggered by very extensive data stealing and scraping by an increasing number of different robots, bots and AI tools. Flightradar24 is paying for every request and every byte downloaded, so Fllightradar24 has to pay more and more every month, for data stolen by robots, bots and other data tools. Some of these stolen data is then used to create competing products to Flightradar24 and make money on it, so Flightradar24 first has to pay for receivers, crew, development and data centers. Then people steal it, sell it and make money on the data without paying a cent. That is why Flightradar24 has started to track down on all data stealing.

So... if you are from FR24.

My impression (not in any way knowing what really happened), hearing FSLTL talking about FR24 in last few years, was that FSLTL had a kind of an agreement with FR24. Again, have no clue what really happened behind the scenes here. The agreement was made because they didn't use it make money out of it. That's what I did read on their discord. But I can be wrong. FSLTL made no money. No one had to pay anything. If there is a way available to get data from FR24, and everybody can access it, I wouldn't call this stealing. At least I would exclude FSLTL from the stealing part, cause no money. No selfish reasons. On the contrary: I asssume many FSLTL users are also FR24 clients. FSLTL does not provide the same product as FR24. Meaning, you won't use MSFS (with FSLTL injected traffic) to check the wordwide traffic and therefore don't use FR24. FSLTL was more of an advertising for FR24.

For all the rest, I totally understand FR24.

@Watsi

You are saying that if you leave your house without locking it, and someone comes to sit in your living room while drinking your beer, that is okay....

So, if I come to your house, steal all your Rolex watches and give them to my friends as a gift - I'm just giving them away for free - that wouldn't be stealing, right?

What it comes down to is, whether or not FSTL had an agreement with FR 24 to download data via an api. If they did, and FR24 decided it's now time to capitalize on this data, then no harm no foul.

So, did FSTL have an agreement of this kind with FR24?

  • Over 300 sim objects
  • Close to 3000 flightplans (if you install all of them - but you don't have to)
  • Ground service equipment at every airport (35% max so as to avoid loading too much your sim)
  • GA traffic
  • Integration of GAIST traffic
  • Flights are on time with real world schedules, regardless of the hour you start flying, in other word, if you start a morning flight (real world) in the evening (your free time), you will see real traffic in the morning
  • Flightplans are updated regularly and are super easy to automatically update, but you don't need to if you don't want...

What does the part in bold mean? Are you saying that the AIG traffic manager can handle the GAIST ship plans? If so, what does that mean as far as displaying offline ship traffic is concerned?

This caught my attention in the Traffic Controller.

I bought the payware version and I'm very happy with the amount of ships I see out there. I also have the payware Seafront regions, so I see plenty of boats. But, it's nice to see that there's a freeware option.

I did not test this feature with in the TC because I use BATC a lot and GAIST will probably be redundant since I have the Seafront payware Ships & Vessels add-on.

In 2020 yes, in 2024 I have yet to see it working correctly, but the ship routes are managed by AIG TC as well. This is an agreement between AIG and GAIST.

There is no, and never was, a free API. There are only -expensive- business API's.

No, AIM can just manage the installation if you’ve installed it from FSto, it doesn’t do injection or anything.

the official FR24 YouTube account posted the same thing in the comments of EasyJetsSimPilot’s YouTube video.

Why not create a subscription fee for FSLTL users who wish to stay with FSLTL, at least to cover FT24's cost, that is if FBW would be willing to create the interface for that?  It's been great to use for years now and I would pay a reasonable sub fee to continue on.

FR24 isn’t the only organization FSLTL stole from. Some of the models and liveries were used/modified without permission from the original artists
