I love it when people start crusades 'on behalf of all of us', when most of us don't see the problem......

I find it hard to believe that some users do not have the problem. I suspect that it is more a case of "some users are not worried about the problem".

As a guy who spends every six months in Level D sims, the weather  in 2024 is miles better than how it looks in a real sim.  First off there is no live weather in a real sim, so it’s all presets.

Having read a number of pages on this post, I often get the impression some people on Avsim are more interested in complaining for the sake of complaining.  I just did 4 flights since SU5 came ou

You are talking about an AI aircraft way off in the distance at an airport and if you look really, really closely, you can't see the landing gear, right? Is that the issue?

No, I don't have/see/notice/am at all worried about the issue.

The issue is not that some dont bother not seeing or perceiving the missing gears, the problem is that many (not all, of course) always jump on this discussion claiming that they do not HAVE the issue. You can easily see this here in this thread, always the same story. But as soon as you give the facts, as above even in using the videos/screenshots trying to prove they are right, they switch their statement from «I do not have the issue» to «I do not see it/do not bother about it then».

The problem with this is: the devs also claim the issue is non-existent or even fixed. BUT it is NOT. And all those always jumping in these threads claiming that they also do not have it (even if it is just that they do not SEE/BOTHER about it) then ultimatively confirm the devs in their totally wrong claim. THIS is the issue here.

If somebody says he doesnt bother, totally fine. But most first claim they dont HAVE the issue, which is simply plain wrong, as illustrated here and elsewhere.

Clear now?

Greetings, Chris

There are a lot of issues that I complain about with 2024, in the earlier days of 2024 I had the no or disappearing issue with AI landing gears. But since the last model update from AIG (few months ago), I don't have that problem. I still see the AI planes taxing to runways and doing figure 8's at runways and just passing through me, but I figure it will be addressed somewhat in the future. But I cannot duplicate the disappearing lang gear issue on my machine. Sorry.

Same, and on behalf of you, me and countless others - to any devs reading this, please don't waste any time on it, especially not at the expense of causing something I might actually get/see/notice/worry about.

You simply dont get it, dont you? But no, instead of leaving as it is, that YOU dont SEE it, you even go further and ask the devs to no longer care because YOU dont see it? Seriously? It is exactly guys like you driving such discussions into heated fights, because you are simply unable to have a differentiated point of view on bugs. And you are obviously unable to understand the difference between being bothered (totally individual) and the sheer existence of a fact (absolutely objective). Also speaks for itself...

I am quiet impressed by your statement after all those evidence, even from a video where the poster also claims that the issue is non-visible on it...

Seemingly there's an update coming for SU5 due to issues folk have been reporting. This is for SU5, and will be before SU6 is started.

Maybe i did get it wrong, but did not see anything suggesting it was just for PS5. apologies if so. I have looked at the MSFS forum, and cannot see any confirmation either way.

Yes, that is correct. Oh, wait.....did I change that for accuracy?

You mean "a problem" since I'm not the ONLY person who has reported the issue (311 posts about this problem in the MSFS 2024 official forum).  And there ya go, you've demonstrated "defensive" rather than objective.

Even though from your OWN video, it was pointed out all the aircraft without wheels that you apparently don't see or notice?

So why are you interested in commenting on this problem?

So if you don't have a problem with missing wheels and other small objects, then can we assume you also would NOT have a problem with those same objects being visible?  You see where I'm going with this?  Again, what's you real motive here?

Hmm, is this post not the definition of passive-agrressive? Telling someone who says they don't have a problem with something that they do, then suggesting dark motives? 😉

@DD_Arthur - You're more patient and articulate than I, and have stood up honorably to the attempts to have you taken down and/or have your mind altered! 😎

Now, I don't have a horse in this because I don't use MSFS AI.  But I wonder, could we perhaps say that the people who see this issue have made their point?   And the people to whom it's not an issue (@sayagain - you can't tell someone that something is a 'problem' to them, if they're telling you it's not!) likewise, the point has been made.

@SayAgain appears to have done a lot of work raising this on the official forum and providing videos and other evidence.  That's a good thing and perhaps MS will consider seeing it as a problem.

In the meantime, I'd humbly suggest there are only three options available to those for whom this is a big problem;   (i) trying to look past it and enjoy the rest of what the sim offers, (ii) turning off AI, or (iii) not using MSFS2024 any more, until the issue is resolved.

Am I missing a better option?

Talk about arguing on semantics....

Perhaps "don't have a problem" and "not worried about the problem" could be converged into the same thing, for convenience?

Or is the important thing here, that people who don't have a problem are forced into saying that they do?

Will that fix the issue, if all AVSIMers say "Yes, ok, it's a huge problem... for everyone 😐"?
