Thursday at 07:45 AM2 days This is absolutely fantastic news! I really hope that this is confirmed very soon, and that they can get plenty of exhibitors to attend the show. I will of course be there for both days, and I cannot wait to meet some of you for the first time. I also really hope that my friends from past events will be able to make the journey. It has been far too long since October 2019....The choice of venue (Aerospace Bristol) is also excellent. I was hoping it would be there if RAF Cosford was not an option. I also get the chance to see another Concorde! I will have to drive further for this one, but that is irrelevant. Thursday at 09:33 PM1 day Moderator When I first became interested in flight simming in the early 90s the venue for the UK show was the National Motorcycle Museum in the English Midlands not far from Birmingham Airport - EGBB. Its central location made it convenient for visitors from the south and the north.When the Museum was destroyed by fire in the early 2000s it switched to the NEC for a few years and again, not far from EGBB.In 2006 it went to Blackpool when Microsoft attended. FSX had just been released and as the date coincided with the Blackpool Air Show it was a great success.Some time after that a hangar at RAF Cosford became its new home and with an excellent museum on site it continued to be highly popular.Britain’s withdrawal from the EU in 2019 and the COVID pandemic the following year put an end to these shows. It was simply too difficult for European companies to bring stock to the show.The Bristol Show is hopefully the beginning of a new era. However its location makes it difficult for those from the north of England or Scotland to visit in one day. It appears to be in a different location to where British Airways Concorde G-BOAF - the last to be built- is housed. It basically says Concorde is the centre piece of the Aerospace Bristol collection.This is the old Filton site isn't it?If you live in the south, the west or the Midlands this is actually a very easy place to get to.
