I often wonder, we have cars on the streets in the sim, but why not walking people? Even if only primitively modeled. The streets, the cities, the harbors look.....dead.

I'd guess performance factors would prevent MSFS from taking things to that level. If they added people only when you're down low, then we'd not be happy with the pop-in of those people models!

I’d worry most about performance, though on my last landing at KMKE in a (real) jet I did notice (and remember) seeing people pushing their carts out to a cart at a Wal-Mart and some kids playing on a swing set in a backyard whilst on final and maybe a minute from touchdown.

Having flight simmed since 1998, I predict they’ll get there.

There are already capybaras (someplace - I probably have them shut off - those are cute, chill creatures but they’d cause me stutters, I know it).

Yeah let's just get an A220 that doesn't stutter before we worry about Clive and Sue getting their Werther's Originals in at the BP garage.

let’s start with trains first.

One thing I wish ASOBO AI could do is clean the roads of cars from the satellite imagary. Having moving road traffic is great but the still cars from the imagary to spoil it a bit.

+1 for moving trains though.

These add a surprising amount of immersion for me in that other sim, especially as I fly in the Pacific Northwest a lot and the BNSF locomotives sort of fit!

I also love the silly flashing police cars - that other sim’s world seems to be a rough place, crime-wise.

Animation - trains, cars, boats, people, windmills, add interest for me.

@dfflyer just created a moving retractable roof for the Brewer’s stadium (weather activated) in an update of his lovely Milwaukee scenery!

Why stop at that - I want to see myself through the window of my own house sitting in front of my monitor and seeing myself through the window sitting in front of the monitor and seeing myself through the window...

If only. Then we would hear more complaining about stuttering.

Would be nice indeed. When I come in for landing RWY 05 at EDWN there are usually people standing on a dirt road just before the runway. Also, what about the approach over the beach at Princess Juliana International Airport? That would definitely look more appealing.

Yet, even first person shooters, like Sniper Elite for instance, only show empty streets. Apart from the enemies of course. Probably for a reason...
