I've discussed the sunken trees with him because it ruins a freeware airport I did (underground bushes/trees you can see through the surface). He said it's due to a conflict with how he does his biomes and an issue with how the sim presents some trees, and it's something Asobo needs to fix.

He's super-responsive when the issue is something he can address, but this problem he says is a sim issue. It's bad enough I have to turn off his trees when I fly in Washington state, so I may check out BB even though Bijan's product is otherwise awesome.

When installed, do I need to disable anything in the sim?

Thanks for the comparison. IRL though, Bijan wins for accuracy as this real area is heavy with trees. Screenshot from google street view

I also looked on aerial view and its packed with trees.

Additionally they appear to be almost (or all) deciduous and not any conifers, like BB or default shows.

Density has drastically changed with the first update. This comparison should be done again.

More or less dense? I am still on the brink, but honestly, Bijan does such a great job I never ever questioned the vegetation anymore since I installed his addon. Nowhere. So I wonder if I would see any difference (good or bad) anyway when switching from Bijan to BBD. The biggest disadvantage I see in the manually corrected areas by Bijan which I then would miss.

More density.

I have Bijan too. What is better with BB for me is: diversity in type and size. Day by day progression of trees during spring and fall in leave density and tree size.

What I miss from Bijan is the light and bright green color of leaves during early spring (north hemisphere).

What is the tree density like in comparison to DEFAULT? I would not want the density to be reduced, even if this package does offer other benefits.

A reason for me to get a tree package was my annoyance with the giant trees around Lake Tahoe. After installing Bijan's package the trees looked much, much better. Density was still very good. I have now installed Enhanced Global Vegetation and like others here I prefer it over Bijan's work, albeit with only a slight margin.

Density is increased, and uk woodland looks more natural from the air due to the density and colour.

I notice a difference when taxying as the trees in the distance are a lot more varied in size and height compared to the uniform default offering.

The difference is only subtle but makes a very pleasant upgrade, certainly worth the cost.

Would be nice if Bijan releases all his photogrammetry fixes seperately then. This I would absolutely not like to miss tbh...

Maybe someone will have this running in MSFS 2024 at the UK Flightsim Show? That would at least give me the opportunity to see what it looks like "up close and personal". Sometimes, screenshots and video clips are not enough.....

Well, I've used Bijan's Season's Enhanced since the beginning, but I bought the BB product yesterday and I am blown away by how utterly stunning it has made Sweden look (which is where I'm currently flying a long-ish GA tour). Next up I'll see how the UK compares. But so far, I'd say it makes a significant visual / beauty upgrade.

Can you specify this a little bit? So you are used to Bijan, installed BBD and you instantly noticed the difference? How so? Can you elaborate a little bit? And you do not miss the Photogrammetry-Adaptations from Bijan? Or any other manually improved region?

My feedback is just a general first impression, from a visual beauty perspective. I can't comment on accuracy, as I don't know the area I'm currently flying in, in the real world. But I am doing tours that all start from one airport in Sweden; Västerås (ESOW) so I've gotten used to how things looked with Bijan in that area, and now with the BBD addon. To me, BBD looks more varied in terms of tree types and quantities. I think perhaps the Bijan package is a little more clinical and perhaps physically accurate, and the BBD package is more around visual beauty.

I certainly don't think it's the case that I'll never swap over and use Bijan again. As I fly to more areas of the world, I may tire of the BBD look and switch back to Bijan. But for now, BBD is a great bang-for-the-buck and visually upgrades the environment.
