Friday at 05:23 PM3 days What’s the radar vectoring to the ILS like? And does it take you off the long (think Germany etc) published transitions onto vectors?Last time I tried BATC it wasn’t great at that….and I see a lot of hype about SI.

In SI options you may select "Fly full STAR" or something like "allow ATC to start vectoring at any suitable moment during the approach". In both case you will be vectored, but in the latter it will happened before the final point of a STAR. In any case, there is a button "Request Vectors" that appears during the approach phase, so you may request vectors at your discretion. A lot more flexibility comparing with BATC. 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.
Friday at 06:57 PM3 days Very interesting indeed! how does it handle callsigns for ATC units? For example the last time I tried BATC it referred to my base EGNT as “contact Newcastle approach departure” rather than “Newcastle radar” etc. little things really but jarring nonetheless

The only area I feel BATC does better is in managing arrivals via a STAR which is something thats been feed back to the SI Devs a bit in the last few months. I feel that the traffic AI movement movement, control, vectoring, holding is far above BATC. SI has come a long way in the last few months alone. Not saying you're doing this, but I often see people criticize it or comment on an experience they had with the product 12 months (or longer) ago. The product receives multiple updates each day. Saturday at 01:48 AM3 days SI is amazing these days! The changelog is posted in the discord and its updated several times a day. Ron Hamilton "95% is half the truth, but most of it is lies, but if you read half of what is written, you'll be okay." __ Honey Boo Boo's Mom

So, it knows the flow of the airport. If you're asking the opposite runway of the one currently in use by the flow of the airport, there's a high chance of deny by ATC. Saturday at 06:24 AM3 days Its better than BATC. Is it worth paying more for it? Some flights I say absolutely not but sometimes Ill have a session like today where I get great vectoring for an approach I requested that rivals Vatsim immersion. I noticed today they finally rolled out the jet-bridges connecting to the AI aircraft which looks cool. My only quibble with Say Intentions is how it feels like there is almost no arrival traffic when I am arriving. If I check the live map the AI aircraft seem to be randomly flying around. I dont think I have ever been #2 for landing or have traffic behind me as I vacate the runway. Is anyone else seeing this? I am more of a Vatsim user so I'm not going to pretend I do several flights per month on Say Intentions. Its just something I've noticed when I do decide to use it.
Saturday at 12:48 PM2 days If you have flown in the real world as PIC you will see that SI is the real and best ATC to ever have been injected into Flight Simulation. It has gotten better and better over time. I have been flying for 30 years, and I would tell any Sim pilot or real lifer, get this product it will change how you fly.now, you ask almost any change or ATC check in, and in a real voice as you listen to real world ATC, it fantastic spot on.

Is anyone else seeing this?If you haven't already, I highly recommend making sure both GA and Airline traffic levels are set to max. That said, I would agree that inbound traffic can be a bit light. However, I have been number 2 for landing fairly often and just yesterday departing KGJT (not an outrageously busy airport) I was number 2 for takeoff. When cleared for takeoff I was told, "no delay (can't remember plane type) on a three mile final", so even at this smaller regional I was getting squeezed between departing and landing traffic. Quite immersive.I also got yelled at by KSNA ground and told to "listen up next time"- a first for me. Though in my defense, I think I did follow the taxi instruction, and the ground controller got it wrong, but I understand why the software got it wrong in this particular situation and I still kinda liked it.Scott

Since then I have flown 2 mid to long hauls whilst using SI without any issue whatsoever. The ability to talk directly to ground crew via GSX is what tipped me over, plus the AI voices sound so much better and less robotic than BATC and FSHud, in my opinion of course.I don't really pay much attention to AI landings and take-offs, that was most definitely not my reason for re-subscribing.Interesting. To me, the actual traffic is a HUGE part of having an ATC addon. You can have the best voices in the history of technology, but if the traffic acts really weird and unrealistic, it's a deal breaker for me. Marco D'Agostino

A month doesn't cost that much and there's no commitment to continue if you're not happy. If you haven't used it in a while, a LOT has changed. I don't notice anything traffic wise looking especially funny or unrealistic from the traffic injection, but I'm not really looking for it if you know what I mean. So long as the stuff I see behaves reasonably normal, I'm good. It probably is worth noting that SI's traffic injection is still in beta and is constantly improving, in any case.Funny, though, how we all rate things differently. I certainly view traffic as a desirable feature, but the thing I value above all else is having virtual controllers who behave and respond is as real world a fashion as possible. Its not about the voices - though it's nice if they sound like real people - it's having them behave as true to life as possible so that I can almost forget I'm not talking to a real world controller.Scott
