  2. I used FlightControlReplay for these shots, but you can also use the Airshow Assistant.
  3. They've stated quite recently that they're not profitable at the current price level. So Even if the OpenAI component of the costs falls by 50% by using GPT-4o, it doesn't necessarily mean that the initial fall in price will match that. They likely want to make a little profit out of this as well (for future growth and investment) given how hard they've been working to get it this far.
  4. Absolutely! I checked before I even started the plane for the first time.
  5. @Fiorentoni basically answered for me. I’m seeing 5k-6k characters per flight by changing to basic in cruise when I’m not there. A shorter EGNX-EGAA flight last night where I stayed the whole time was around 7k I think. So in the neighbourhoods of 100-150 flights with the $30 pack. I probably average 2 airliner flight per week, sometimes more sometimes less. I wouldn’t be using this for VFR GA yet. This could all change of course when it starts talking to traffic, I’ll re-evaluate then.

How did you get THAT ? My V6 is IGNORED by Central since several months 😞 Thanks - Gérard
  10. However, can I write these variables? In the SDK some of them are marked as settable, but code like this doesn't seem to work: 'TEST'·(>A:ATC·ID,·String)
  11. It's not misleading at all. There are 700 people working on MSFS at the moment. Those are Jorg's words. Of course not all of them are working on MSFS full time. Some of them are working on MSFS part time, obviously. And some of them are also contractors like OrbX, etc. Let's just say we agree to disagree. I am not going to stop saying there are 700 people working on MSFS, including MSFS 2024. If I said there were 700 people working on the core sim of MSFS, full time, then that would be misleading. I didn't say that though so I will stick to what I said, which was accurate.
  12. Ah, nvm, got it working, it was a different problem. This seems to work fine: (A:ATC·ID,·String)·(>L:AtcId,·String)·\n (VOICEVOLUME:30)(SPEAK:@AtcId)·\n
  13. Not sure about that... When I pick Premium the co-pilot voice clearly changes. So the co-pilot voice is tied to the controller voice setting. The YouTuber-voices also all are premium and are all co-pilot voices.
  14. Is there a way to access string variables from the simulator like ATC ID, ATC TYPE, etc. in AAO? If I try (A:ATC ID, String) it seems to be a AAO local variable, consistent with the documentation. Thank you.
  15. I am surprised it is that high. That means the rest should cover Cloud (servers, databases, storage), Voice packs and also salaries and admin costs.

  17. The cruiselevel.de article has now been corrected and no longer makes a reference to "15 dollars".
  18. Same here, but Steam PC version. I thought it had something to do with me, installing FS cockpit hardware. Will check the tips from orchestra_nl tonight.
  19. AT, that's very misleading...here is the whole paragraph: He includes companies like OrbX, are they working on the core sim or developing addons?, all a bit of shady usage of terms imo I guess preceding the Number with "I think" gives some leeway, its all very Loose and stating 700 working on as if its a fact (note its only simmers doing that not Asobo) is not accurate
  20. Very nice pictures! Is this 'live' formation flying? If so, how to do that?
  21. Today
  22. Wobbling isn't really a huge issue with Smartphones, as they have pretty good image stabilization now. The sensors are small though, so a full size SLR with a big sensor has a big advantage. My S21 Ultra has a 100X zoom, but its very blurry at such a big magnification.
  23. X-plane is moving forward in a different way than other simulators, 12.0.9 is already a very good simulator, for me much better than the competition, in the points that matter to me personally. FSHUD and other add-ons have nothing to do with Asobo or Laminar, they are third party add-ons.
  24. Perhaps they already have.....🙂 .
  25. Yes, they meant confident in terms of being confident they were candidates. 😀 Candidates, of course, doesn't mean they are trully Dyson Spheres or Dyson Swarms. Just "might" be.
