  2. Does this improve water masks in the Caribbean only? Last time I checked, I could not see any water masks at Bermuda.
  3. I do not use PG and I do not use the map mod. MSFS scenery looks amazing on my PC (apart from the Isle of Man, but even that is apparently improved with the SU15 Beta).

  5. Turn off PG. This simulator still looks awesome with autogen.
  6. If you push that TLOD any higher, the game will start rendering terrain on other planets in the Solar System.

  9. I will be rather annoyed if the draw distance has been reduced. I increase detail levels on my PC as much as possible for a reason, and at the moment it is passing the test with style. I would prefer things to stay that way.
  10. I guess that we all see performance differently, but......when I see a target framerate of 76, I can't help thinking that there is a huge amount of headroom to increase detail levels, not hold them back.
  11. Does this mean that you have now managed to load MSFS to the main menu?
  12. The only update that I would like at the moment for my PMDG 737-600 is at EIDW Dublin. The NavData included with the product does not recognise the new runway at this airport.
  13. I would love to be able to taxi the 737 precisely in MSFS. At the moment, I cannot get it to turn properly at anything more than walking speed. It is very annoying.

Without AI planes active, I can run TLOD/OLOD @ 250/200 on my i5 7600k @ 4.5Ghz/32GB DDR4-3600 RAM/6GB GTX 980Ti powered PC @ 1080p resolution, even in super dense scenery areas like London (with IniBuilds EGLL London Heathrow + Burning Blue Design EGLF Farnborough + UK2000 EGLC London City + ORBx London Landmarks) and Amsterdam (with FlyTampa EHAM Amsterdam Schiphol + PrealSoft Amsterdam Landmarks). This is with the PMDG 737-600, all settings at HIGH, 1.5x DSR, 16x AF, TAA, PG disabled, Shadow Maps @ 2048, and the Scattered Clouds weather option. In short, the MSFS game engine has some serious grunt. How that translates to 4K resolution is the real issue.

  16. You do not need to start Steam separately to run MSFS. Double left clicking on the MSFS icon should get it to load through several screens (XBox Game Studios - Asobo Game Studio - Blackshark AI - Microsoft FS2020, and then you should see screens displaying the Dune Expansion with a loading bar at the bottom of the screen.
  17. I have just snapped up the MK Studios version from SimMarket for 11 quid (one day before the end of the promotional sale), so let's see how it performs on my i5 7600k powered PC. I am expecting good performance, considering that everything else runs fine.
  18. For the record, there is no way that I would ever exchange detailed interiors for a parallax option.
  19. I am waiting for updates to the runway centreline markings at EGHI Southampton and LGHI Chios Omiros.

  21. I have asked the question in the FSX section of the UK2000 forum, so I will let you know if I receive a response.
  22. AI traffic must hit performance a lot harder in MSFS than it did in P3D. I have not tested the theory yet, but framerates at IniBuilds EGLL London Heathrow and FlyTampa EHAM Amsterdam Schiphol on my PC from yesteryear with only static planes are very good.
