  1. I'm sure some are curious about the abrupt weather updates. Here's what Reed had to say about it on the REX forums.
  2. Seeing the same here. It seems to be accurate to what's actually happening in the sim, but it doesn't match what the weather report says it should be. Wind seems fairly accurate on my end, as does a quick look at the clouds. EDIT: Scratch that part about the clouds. Just re-read the weather report and it's showing FEW clouds which isn't accurate at all to what I'm seeing in P3D.
  3. I hate the mobile style pop-out menu companies use these days (I'm looking at you too, ENVDIR). I'm not using this on a phone; there's plenty of room for a menu on my monitor.
  4. The user manual installed on my desktop, but it also looks to be in the Sky Force installation directory.
  5. Try the REX store anyway. I don't know if it's because I registered on their forum with my previous orders, but I haven't purchased anything directly from REX and was able to get the 15% off on the REX store.
  6. It's on the map on the front page of their website.
  7. Christopher, If it makes you feel any better, I just attempted a flight out of KSEA in the 738 and had master caution light for air conditioning once I was in the air. Yep, I forgot to close the doors prior to takeoff. So that's what all the screaming was about... Oops.
  8. I'm interested to see how things work without the REX textures. I know they say it's compatible with other software, but if they're doing more cloud types and different cloud models it seems like you'd need to use their textures.
  9. It's a knob on the EFIS control panel. Check out pages 588-589 in FCOM 2.
  10. I had this happen when I uninstalled LatinVFR's KMIA v3. The problem was the LatinVFR KMIA folder in the Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons folder. All I did was remove that folder and the error went away. I'm not certain that's the appropriate way to do things, and you should probably wait for Poppet or someone who knows what they're doing, but you might check that location for a NY Airports folder.
  11. Nothing to be worried about. PMDG updated things about a month ago and you'll need to reset your password.
  12. I'm sure they'll sell plenty, but the question for any developer is whether an aircraft will sell more than others they could develop. I can't imagine a new PMDG MD-11 selling more than the 757/767, 787, or even a new 737 seeing as the NGX is now 6 years old. I loved the original PMDG MD-11 and would love a new one with all the advancements they've made over the past 9 years, but I wouldn't want it before the aircraft I mentioned above.
  13. Did you check the PMDG website to see if you purchased the 747 there? https://www.precisionmanuals.com
  14. If you had that kind of money and just dropped $325 million on a sub $50 piece of software, I'm thinking not too many people are going to want to vacation with you. Sane ones at least.
  15. From the FMC menu click PMDG Setup > Options > Simulation > Pages 4 and 5 have the PNF callouts. There are options for airspeed, 80 knots, V1 on page 4, and VR, V2, and positive rate on page 5.
  16. RSR has always said they will hand deliver the product on a chartered 747 if someone buys one at that price. You'd likely even be able to vacation with the team on a warm beach somewhere with drinks that have those little umbrellas.
  17. I've an issue with ASCA not opening when I start ASP4 for the last week or so, and it wasn't until I read this thread that I realized it had to do with admin settings. I also had a two other programs (Saitek profiler, and x-mouse) that I had to reset run as admin until they worked properly, but that was prior to ASCA not opening properly. That said, I don't have this update installed, so whatever the issue is, if mine is related anyway, it doesn't seem to be specific to KB4051963. Those four programs are the only ones I've found that had the issue. I checked P3D, but it has run as admin set as I'd expect.
  18. I've flown into both SEA and CDG in the last week without a problem. Is this on long hauls, or do you see it on short flights as well?
  19. You're probably thinking of the FSX > P3D upgrade path which is not being discussed here. When upgrading P3D versions (v3 to v4), there is no additional purchase. The same PMDG installer installs into both P3D v3 and P3D v4. The below is directly from PMDG product page (Emphasis mine): http://precisionmanuals.com/pages/product/P3D/744QOTSII.html
  20. Just to be clear here since it's been said otherwise, you do NOT need to repurchase PMDG aircraft when going from v3 to v4.
  21. I think the short turn has the IRS aligned and the APU is on. On the long turn I believe the IRS is unaligned and the aircraft is on ground power. I'm sure there are some other differences, but those are two big ones I can think of.
  22. Eric, Nice find, thanks for that. That fixed the issues I was having with lights not showing up.
  23. I see there's a post on the FB forums about the taxi and landing lights not working for the PMDG products. Also seems to be the case for the TFDi 717, as well as the default aircraft, although the Q400 and A320 lights work just fine. Anyone else seeing this? I suppose this might be related to the dynamic lighting issue Mir mentioned.
  24. Can you post a picture of this? Are you talking about the street that goes under the runway? I've got PNW installed and don't see any lights where they shouldn't be. As for performance, I find it to be on the lower end performance wise compared to other payware airports, but it's not terrible. The south side of south satatlite gates (Gate S1 for example) seem to have a bit of an issue. I get a noticeable drop there compared to other areas.
  25. Client only install here and no problems as far as I can tell. Tried every PMDG aircraft and they all work fine like they did prior to 4.1.
