MilViz Bell 407 in Prepar3D v3 ?
I'm glad it worked! The log is displayed in a window during install. When finished, before exiting, you can copy everything. But now you don't need it anymore!

MilViz Bell 407 in Prepar3D v3 ?
You need to copy everything, not only the folder at Rotorcraft. Gauges, effects, Milviz folder, etc. To know which files to copy, and where they should go, you can read the log produced by the installer. Without the gauges, for example, you can load the heli and even fly it (if already started), but the gauges will be dead. I have the MD530 working fine. Don't have the 407, but my guess is that it works too.

Realair Turbine Duke for v3
RealAir is SO good, and offers so much more than others for our money, that even for twice the price I'd still be buying everything they produce. Calling them "greedy" was not only unfair, but offensive.

What are the Best Performance Tweaks?
Yes, P3D3 still benefits from tweaks. You can follow this thread: http://www.avsim.com/topic/477057-a-frame-time-analysis-of-p3d-v3-effects-of-cpu-affinity-frame-lock-and-ht/

Floatplane for P3D v3
Aerosoft Twin Otter Extended, fantastic plane and comes on floats too. It is not "officially" v3 compatible, but just point installer to v3 folder and that's it: no problem at all.

F406 Worth It?
Very good plane. Not on par with Real Air, but pretty good and VERY pleasant to fly. Real Air is absolutely fantastic, although I think the models look too "computer made" for my taste. This one is very different to fly, so they don't compete and you can have them both. To begin with, the F406 will be flown in the weather: the cabin is not pressurized. I like it! Of course, the attention to detail, doc's, config software, failure simulation etc. that come with Real Air products is miles ahead! You won't find anything like that in here.

Aerosoft airports?
All from FSDG. They are AWESOME! Nuuk is a jewel. And the Greek ones are superb. Paro is beautiful and a REAL challenge. Can't wait to try the buses there with P3D3.

Add on Aircrafts
There are very few with P3D3 installers. To my knowledge, here is a list: PMDG 737 and 777 A2A Comanche 250, Cherokee 180, C172, C182 Carenado F406 Caravan II Aerosoft EEL F6 and F3 BlackBox A320 and that's it. Some are just around the corner and will come soon (hopefully): RealAir Turbine Duke Aerosoft Airbus A318/A319/A320/A321 Of course, there are many planes that work, but you'll have to handle the installation, and the risks...

"Window" on the top left corner
As I remember from reading in a distant past, it has something to do with some automation that PMDG needs to do but can't be done via SDK, and the solution was to "fake" mouse clicks or something like that. This window receives those "virtual clicks". But I read it a looong time ago so maybe I'm talking nonsense....

Real World F406 at Work?
This beauty is also called "Vigilant". Livery is part of the Carenado pack! Me too, enjoying this plane very much! https://www.planespotters.net/photo/044451/ac-22-hellenic-coast-guard-reims-cessna-f406-vigilant

GNS750 integration ?
And GPS1 becomes the source, BUT the Aspen EFD map shows flight plan from the GNS530. So, the autopilot follows plan from GTN750 but EFD shows plan from the second unit. Go figure....

P3D3 - some basic nVidia advice?
Thanks Steve, it works like a charm! The only problem I have with MSAA in P3D3 is with bad weather/snow. With default ASN options, flying over Greenland (so nothing really happening outside), I'm experiencing frame rates in the twenties with snow and overcast, unless I turn MSAA off. This is with or without the changes in NI (with the changes it gets slightly better, in fact). I have a good system, GPU is a 970, processor i7 4790, and usually fly with frame rates above 60 inside the plane and well above 100 outside. I was using PrecipitFX (default snow is awful...). It gets better without it, but not much: still around 30. Everything else is default P3D3 (clouds, etc.). Cloud coverage at medium, but I can crank it up without loosing much. The real "game changer" is turning MSAA off: FPS goes from around 25 to above 70 again! Am I missing something?

Fun approaches
Very good collection of "crazy charts", presented (and commented) by a real pilot. Have fun! http://airfactsjournal.com/2014/02/approach-plate-olympics-more-crazy-charts/ Cheers, Sergio

PMDG 777 and P3D v3
Not yet, only default v3. I'm gonna try ASN now, and Pro-ATC. Then I'm ready! (only waiting for Orbx installers!)

PMDG 777 and P3D v3
Just had the BEST flight-simming experience in many years! Thanks PMDG and LM, this is as good as it gets!! The perfect combination, fantastic plane, smooth graphics, VERY good FPS, stable. Just awesome! (And we know that it will get better and better in the near future!) My BEST regards to you all involved, CONGRATS!! :Applause: :Applause: :Applause: :Applause: Sergio Quadros

Best A330 (free or payware) for FSX right now?
Agreed. But it is only the best because there isn't any other... Best airbuses are from Peters Aircraft (http://petersaircraft.com/). Unfortunately, they are for X-Plane only. His A380 is simply awesome, a work of art! And yes, it simulates FBW.

Helicopter cockpits FAR AWAY?
The default Bell has these numbers: InitialXyz=-0.44, -0.4, 0.0InitialPbh=23.5, 0, 0

Helicopter cockpits FAR AWAY?
Stan, you need to look the entries named "[CameraDefinition.xxx]" (xxx is the number of the camera). For example, here is the first camera of my Dodo Bell: [CameraDefinition.001]Title = "Left Seat VC"Guid = {154BA806-B28B-471a-9BBE-34577DAB18A1}Origin = Virtual CockpitMomentumEffect = YESSnapPbhAdjust = SwivelSnapPbhReturn = FalsePanPbhAdjust = SwivelPanPbhReturn = FalseTrack = NoneShowAxis = YESAllowZoom = TRUEInitialZoom = 0.6SmoothZoomTime = 2.0ZoomPanScalar = 1.0ShowWeather = YesXyzAdjust = TRUEShowLensFlare=FALSECategory = CockpitPitchPanRate=30HeadingPanRate=75PanAcceleratorTime=0InitialXyz=-0.6,0,0InitialPbh=0, 0, 0 The numbers that matter are the last ones, InitialXyz and InitialPbh. The first is the position, axis x, y and z. The second, the orientation of the camera. As your seat is offset to the right, probably you have a bad "x" number. You may start with 0,0,0 and then make small corrections until you're satisfied.

Helicopter cockpits FAR AWAY?
Stan, the aircraft.cfg file for your heli holds information for all the cameras positions. If this file was changed by any software, probably there is, on the same folder, a backup, renamed aircraft.bak or something. You can rename it. If you are brave enough to change the values yourself, open the aircraft.cfg file with a text editor and play with the numbers. You can find information on how to do it and what to change on this article: http://www.fsdevelop...mera_definition Hope it helps.

Helicopter cockpits FAR AWAY?
For some reason the default camera position has changed. If it was changed by some software, like EZdok, chances are that there is a backup file. Look into your heli folder.
