  1. As the title suggests...go and get it.
  2. The Alabeo Tomahawk does this in both XPX and P3D. I'm sure there are others.
  3. Mindstar has a dedicated support forum right here at Avsim. Why not drop by and read up on customer support over there? It should help you decide one way or the other.
  4. Filming the new SkyMAXX Pro v2.1 in X-Plane 10. Flying around Ostrava in the Czech Republic.
  5. The one annoying problem I've been having is P3D won't see or find my hardware on certain occasions (yoke, rudder pedals, trim). I'm stuck with the mouse and nothing else. I have to unplug the usb cables and sometimes even restart the sim.
  6. You're not wrong at all, Laminar get their coffee beans from Blue Mountain in Jamaica. They drink tons of it!
  7. Hi Mike, It's just that I think nVidia's actions or lack of, are more speculation than fact. No harm meant...
  8. Are you serious? None of the statements are based on fact. They're pure conjecture, hearsay and personal opinion. I think P3D's latest build is very good. I would hope P3D is working on 64 bit technology well before any SLI implementation. *On a side note, just to put this into perspective (since people are throwing numbers around), Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed has sold in excess of 73 million copies! Numbers are what drive the industry, not our personal opinions. Now, back on topic please. Have you installed the new drivers and have you noted any improvements?
  9. Mike, nVidia is just following their business model which is to cater to game developers. Game developers who sell millions of copies of their games. It's not all doom and gloom. We stand to benefit with every driver update, like everyone else. Both of these companies have a very different clientele.
  10. Hi Gregg, I thought I'd announce it in the P3D forums as no one had mentioned it here yet.
  11. ...has been announced. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lw4gWmXwD-I
  12. Works fine for me also on 2.4. I can't say there was a performance boost but no degradation either.
  13. Well, 75 % of the topics are, tweak tweak crash, magic bullet crash, tweak, re-install crash. It seems nothing has changed. Trying to modify P3D into something it isn't will inevitably lead to a ton of topics. My suggestion? Use only certified P3D addons and let LM advance their simulator, they're doing a rather good job...
  14. Just like in FSX, on the start-up page, press 'reset to system time'. To make this change permanent, go into 'Option'-'Settings'-'General' and navigate to the 'Simulation' tab, click on 'General' and tick 'Use system time for Default Flight'. You should now start every flight with your correct time.
  15. Exactly my findings. Cloud shadows on the ocean are useless and pretty much non-existent, the cloud mirroring effects are way overdone! A very unrealistic display of the ocean. I'm thinking HDR in V2.4 is broken, it's that bad. I'll need to test with it off. Another thing, where's the haze? We have fog instead?
  16. I concur, In the case of X-Plane, there was no other game in town. In P3D, it's an ATC simulation that is being updated frequently by the author. I believe there's still a demo for those who'd like to try it out.
  17. ...and it works in P3D v2.4. I bought it thinking if it didn't work, I wasn't losing much. This should tide me over till V2 of AH comes out.
  18. follow the last pages of this thread...Mark Cellis has something really interesting called X-Camera. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/397715-ezdok-camera-or-something-similar-for-x-plane-10/
  19. It might depend on the altitude of the clouds and how far below them you are?
  20. Got the flying pencil, thanks!
  21. Dave, it looks like the message on their website has been there for some time. Maybe they don't have anything in production at the moment.
  22. I think Pilot's FSGRW weather generator will be available for X-Plane before too long. This is my weather generator of choice. No gimmicks, just the weather. Those who like realism, the local weather effects coded into the software is great. You can now arrive in Madeira and expect wind shifts, up and down drafts from adjoining terrain as you would in a real approach. This should be fun.
  23. Look in your P3D root folder (where P3D is installed), there is a folder named Modules. In this folder, you should find the FSUIPC.dll along with some other files including SimConnectP3D2.dll.
  24. ...is FSUIPC in the modules folder? Just a thought... version of FSUIPC is 4.9.3.7
