Well, in my case no door is opened or closed by GSX with the PMDG 744. I have GSX module 1.5 and PMDG 744 module 1.5. Using P3Dv4 and GSXv2. I would also want to know how to troubleshoot this. I don't know what logs I need to look at.

Well, the shadows on the plane dont look realistic at all :P

The papi lights are something the fixer could not solve. You need the fixer for everything else.

10 favourite screenies from 2012
litgeorge replied to Rocky_53's topic in The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
I like the blue haze on #3. Do you happen to remember the settings you were using on this? Thanks a lot, great screenies. -
Sure, go on and delete everything. Nothing can be better than an orbx scenery, even if its just a set of textures plus autogen.

After installing FTX EU ENG I went to Spain and all coastlines were missing. I just went to FTX Central, selected FSX Default, then re-ran UTX Europe Configurator, and that fixed it. Now I can fly from/to FTX EU ENG without any issues. Enviado desde mi Desire HD usando Tapatalk 2

FTX Regions - Can more than one be active at the same time?
litgeorge replied to AndyPaul's topic in The Prepar3d Forum
You could always save the flight while over the ocean, switch regions and then load flight again. -
AirlinerXP? You mean their vapourware A320?

Stephen, thanks a lot for the link. In fact, going from a 470 I understand I'll get a little more improvement than in the case of a 480 to 580 swap. And my specs are almost a copy of yours (a 2600K OC to 4.8GHz), so I think I'll take the plunge and upgrade as soon as there is stock in my computer shop. Not that my performance is bad, but I like to get as good visuals as I can, and that means cranking up the AA settings as much as possible. Thanks a lot for the answers, much appreciated. Jorge

Livery Request / BAV 738 without Winglets
litgeorge replied to BAW277's topic in PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu
I made my own by just copying the texture folder from the WL repaint, and adding the corresponding entry to the aircraft.cfg, like we always did in past times. It's dirty, I know, but it worked :) -
Who's figured out how to tweak the colour options?

Thanks for answering, gents, much appreciated. I read somewhere that the only difference between the 2500K and the 2600K is hyperthreading. But FSX doesn't make use of it, and anyway I will turn it off to achieve a higher overclock. If I'm going to get 5+ FPS more with the 2600K in the worst possible conditions (heavy scenery, lots of AI, complex aircraft), I don't mind paying 100 bucks more for it. But I don't think anyone is able to answer this question! Or is it? Best regards, Jorge

Hello Captains, I am finallý upgrading my system to a Sandy Bridge based setup. I had the following items in mind: CPU: i5 2500KMOBO: Asus P8P67 PRO B3RAM: Mushkin 8 GB DDR3-2133 Kit 996996 RedLine SerieHeatsink: Prolimatech Megahalems Rev B with 2 x Coolermaster Blademaster 120mm fan This will go in an Antec P183 case, with an Asus GeForce GTX470 graphics card. Any recomendations? Should I go for a Z68 board, or an i7 2600K? I don't mind paying extra cash if I can get appreciable performance, but I don't like spending money for a marginal performance increase. This rig will run FSX and (almost) nothing more. Thanks in advance, Jorge EDIT: Of course I intend to overclock it as much as I can.

FMC wind input question yet again sigh
litgeorge replied to Jetman67's topic in PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu
There is an issue with the weather data generated by ASE. They use point as decimal separator, so if your system uses comma instead of point, FSBuild gets the wrong winds from the ASE weather file. Check FSBuild forums. I changed my decimal separator to point, and now FSBuild reads the winds as it should.Regards,Jorge Villar -

Mine's gonna be tougher, 5:17 AM here and the clock rings at 7:00 AM :D And still no download. I suppose I'll need to contact support, but right now I don't think they'll be able to help me :)

Nope, I got a database error while returning from paypal. Then I managed to log in again, but the order wasn't there.
-
I was able to complete the payment, but got no download link. What a pity.
