Aero Commander throws "End Flight" screen after 10 seconds
Rob, Not really sure why you have both versions of P3D installed. In any event, I have FSX Steam as well as P3Dv3 and I haven't had any issues whatsoever with the Commander. Go to your control panel and uninstall all versions from your hard drive. Do a system restart. Then go to the Carenado website and download a new Exe and install it into only your P3Dv3. It should work just fine at that point. If not, contact Carenado.

A couple of little issues.
I certainly hope someone does come along and make a change and at least offer an option for a pristine interior. The worn look as you said does in fact fit the age of the plane but if you go online and do a search for Aero Commanders for sale, www.controller.com, you will see that all of the interiors have been well kept. This interior seems more fitting for a bush model. If I were an aircraft owner I'd be embarrassed to put anyone in that interior an offer them a test ride. As a passenger in a plane that looked like that, I would probably pray that the plane and passengers make it back on the ground in one piece. Yikes!!

A couple of little issues.
No worries, I totally get it. This is the first place I come as well before making a purchase from Carenado to see whether or not I should take the dive. I agree it is sad that most of the time there's some tweaking that has to be done, but even the best of the best have issues and problems after you make a purchase. I think the biggest area that Carenado fails in though is the fact that they don't have a dedicated forum supported by their developers [something that clearly the "best" do]. So the frustration comes in where we the buyers have to figure it out ourselves most of the times. In any event if you do a search under "Aero Commander Sounds by Gary Jones" it will come up. That's an easy fix. atc_type=Rockwell atc_model=AC50

A couple of little issues.
Well I think by now, after all the other threads we've read about Carenado, we know they've had some issues. I don't think this is anything new and I hope this doesn't turn into a Carenado "bashing" since they do actually bring value to our flight sim community. They do churn out models that look excellent and at least give us many options of models to take out for flights. There are also times that I don't feel like spending a few hours figuring out how to start an airplane and then once I've started it, figure out what I need to do to repair the damages I've done before I can get back into the air again. But, that's just me and everyone is entitled to their opinion and I respect all of those opinions. In any event, it's a good looking model with the exception of the fact that I feel like I need to shower after I'm down with a flight and walking away from my computer screen. It would be nice to see some repainters give it a "clean" interior look to get rid of the grunge. It does seem to handle nicely as far as flight dynamics which has been a huge improvement over Carenado of the past. I also was able to locate a sound package on Avsim that seems to be more realistic than the sounds that came with it. Other than the dirty interior and the sounds, thus far I'm pleased with it. Gary

Im a sucker for twins
lthendrix, do you by any chance have EZDok Camera installed?? If so, it could be due to your "on ground" settings. If not, then it totally has to do with the aircraft. Gary

PA23 AZTEC F 250 Released!
Eric, I can't agree with you more. As a matter of fact, I commented on that very thing in another thread regarding this very plane. If you'll notice, Alabeo has started to make "custom" sounds for most of their models. Customs is just that. The sounds are pretty much made up to match the models fit. Their sister company Carenado does at times say "recorded from actual aircraft" but that's been more of a thing of the past as opposed to here lately. This "custom" sounds thing really caught my attention when Alabeo released their Piper Brave model. Anyone that's ever heard a Piper Brave in real life will immediately know this sound. Growing up as a kid in rural Louisiana, an Ag Pilot had several of them and I'd watch them fly all the time. They have a distinct putt, putt, putt sound. I always said to myself what a really weird sounding airplane. I never forget it. The same goes for this airplane. It would really be nice if Alabeo either reduced the price of their planes, or charged a bit more to get realistic sounds. I'm pretty sure someone will be developing a sound set for this plane and once you add the cost of the plane to whatever cost the sound set will be, you're up to the a nearly $50 price tag. It's unfortunate, but I usually always end up paying the extra for the sounds to get the total immersive factor like you talked about. Gary

News from Alabeo?
I'm really hoping someone is working on a sound pack for the Aztec. Aztecs and Piper Braves have one of the most distinct sounds there is for airplanes. Once you hear them , the sound will never leave your brain. Alabeo tried to mimic the sound internally but the external sounds are not the real deal. Gary

Throttle & Engine Problem
Haha yes would be nice if they had manuals to explain this. In the past you could push Carenado's birds to their limits and nothing happened. However it is really nice to see that Carenado is indeed stepping up their game. I'm quite happy with this bird so far. Also the fact that they gave a $10 discount because I owed their original model makes me even happier. Someone at Carenado realized there was room for improvement with their products as well as their customer service and they've responded. Their graphics have always been top notched and it looks as though they're starting to improve on their systems and modelling. Nice job Carenado!! )

New ArezOne soundset for Navajo
I wish I had paid more attention to tttocs's post before ordering the Skysong soundset. The Skysong soundset is pretty bad! I sent him an email requesting a refund. The sounds are muffled at high rpms and there is a very annoying ticking sound that just keeps looping. I did in the end up getting the Aerozone soundset and I must say I am quite pleased with it. I'm just curious to know if anyone is pleased with the Skysongs version.

Alabeo C400 Corvalis TT FSX/P3D Released
In my opinion, Alabeo/Carendo don't do glass panels well. All of my last purchases with them have only been their steam gauges aircraft. To continue to have a host of the same problems over and over again to me is just pure insanity. I always appreciate the feedback everyone here gives as it certainly saves me lots of money because I really get that "itchy gotta scratch" when I see their post release photos and thank God everyone here usually apply the "antidotal cream" before I pull out the wallet!

Phenom 300 released...first impressions
Paul, I have to agree with you about that lack and care and would also like to say that I was a guy in the past that bought everything Carenado put out. On release day I was one of the first guys to buy their products. That's changed! After following the forums here, and seeing gripe after gripe and yet they do nothing about it( or very little) I've decided to take my funds elsewhere. Will I never buy from them again???? No I'm not saying that. There are some things they do well. Their graphics are beyond excellent. They also have offered a wider variety of aircraft that any other developer out there. However, they don't want to become a top notch company! This is what irks me to no degree. Guys like Burt Stolle and Bert Pieke( as well as many others willing to make our hobby one of the best) could make them one of the best in the business if they were to get over this "you can't tell me nothing" attitude. Just the mere fact that they don't have dedicated forums or even check these here speaks volumes about their attitudes. I'd venture to say there are lots more like myself that have decided to hold on to their wallets. I think they've just moved on or don't care to say so. Gary

Alabeo C404 Titan: Anybody take a chance on it yet?
Flapsdown I definitely have to agree with you on this one! I own about 90% of everything ORBX has developed. I was gonna skip their latest Samoa Region but after picking up the TITAN, the two together are a perfect match! I just use my Saitek panels to operate the auto pilot and off I go! I'm having a blast with the both of these beauties!!

Carenado blocking negative comments on Facebook
All points posted here certainly each have validity. I can see where anyone wanting to drop $50 on a download would certainly want to hear it all, "the good, bad and the ugly" but how Carenado would sneer at negative comments on their Facebook page. My wife posts to her Facebook almost daily. If any of her friends were to say negative comments, I assure you she would "unfriend" them. However, to the topic starters point, I believe Carenado is giving the impression that there's nothing negative with their products with is totally misleading. I believe the real gripe here is that we, as customers, that allow them to stay in business have to solve most of their issues amongst ourselves. Every other major product developer has a dedicated forum in which you can post general topics, make suggestions, as well as receive technical support for their products. Is that too much to ask of Carenado??? The just of the matter is that many of us are frustrated with them. They expect us to buy from them, however, provide little to no support, and then when we have legitimate complaints or suggestions they go on deaf ears. We, their customers, have to talk amongst ourselves to come up with solutions. The really sad part about all that's being said is, they probably won't even read this, or if they do, they will never make acknowledgment of it. I once made a reply on another general forum about another company's product that I felt I would not be purchasing because I didn't feel the pricing was fair. To my surprise, the lead developer of this product, addressed my post and stated exactly why they were charging this price. I was so amazed by this that I ended up making the purchase after all. Fact is, the product developer cared enough about his product that he wanted to hear any and everything that was being said about it! Wake up Carenado and smell the coffee!!!!!! Gary

Many folks thought they would never see this day . . .
I totally agree with you gents as well. Prior to Bernt working on the FDE I knew that immediately after purchasing I was going to have to tinker with the Aircraft's CFG. It was a given for all of Carenado's aircraft. I usually spent the first few hours of ownership doing multiple test flights. After Bernt got involved, right "out of the box" pretty much all of their FDEs have been spot on!!

C207
I third that gentlemen. It seems that Alabeo has really stepped up their flight dynamics lately with their aircraft. The 207 is a steady as a rock. Quite a joy to fly

all sorts of problems with this plane
Brainsommers, Could you have possibly gotten a corrupted download/install? I've had it since day one and outside of the normal Carenado "quirks" everyone talks about here, I haven't have any OOM errors or crashes. I'm getting frames in the 30s with this one, as such, find it to be somewhat smooth on my system. Try uninstalling and reinstalling and see what happens. Gary

Service Pack out
Could it be the weather engine you're using??? It's getting to be that time of the year where as flying over the PNW, and at high altitudes for me without pitot heat causes ice on the wings and loss of airspeed. I'm using FSReal WX as my weather engine.

Adding a gauge to the Seneca V
Gregg, I totally agree. Carenado does lots of things right in their aircraft, but they also do lots of things wrong. I have just about every aircraft they have developed. However, I get better responses here in these forums on how to correct problems with their aircraft than from Carenado themselves. What I don't get is how "out of touch" they are with the very individuals that keep them in business, us!!! Someone on here mentioned they don't even check these forums. How sad is that. I would gladly want to know what everyone has to say about my products if I were a creator. I get it that you can't please everyone all the time, but certainly that are a few folks here that "live" on these forums, and certainly not to gripe, but to offer assistance to all the other flightsimmers out there that want an airplane that is as close to realistic as possible. I think it's pretty sad that there is a thread on these very forums where everyone is trying to remedy the horrendous sounds this plane was released with. I dumped the sounds immediately from this plane and replaced it with FSD International's Seneca V that I had on my machine from many years ago. It's not perfect but certainly much better the stock sounds of this plane. Someone there had to have know these sounds were garbage!! I know that A2A is extremely adamant about anyone making modifications to any of their aircraft. I don't have a problem with them though because every single one of the developers over there take great pride in every single release and they have designated forums for each of their aircraft. The developers there live on their forums every single day. It's pretty hard pressed to hear anyone say anything bad about any of their aircraft. I think we know why!!! Carenado certainly has the potential to be a frontrunner in aircraft development for the flightsimming industry. I think in order to do so, they must tap into one of the biggest resources available to them......the people buying their products. Sorry guys, I'm just venting my frustrations! I enjoy their products very much but we all know they have room for improvement! Gary

Cant see props turning out of VC
I reported it as well and I got a response back that they will be releasing another service pack correcting it.

Carenado Seneca V Released
I guess Bernt doing the FDE explains why this plane is such a joy to fly. This plane really performs just as the real one does. Hopefully Carenado will release a service pack soon to take care of the minor gripes/issues but I can't find anything wrong with the flight dynamics of this one!!

Carenado Grand Caravan EX is out!
It doesn't take much to look better than F1's. All of their models look the same inside. I don't buy their planes anymore. I was banned from one of their forum topics for merely stating if you've sat in one F1 cabin, then you've sat in them all. I love their flight dynamics but their eye candy is by far weak. You would think these developers would listen to their customers........ Gary

CARENADO CT206H FSX/P3D SERVICE PACK 20130709 RELEASED
Hey guys, I'm wondering if a second service pack is on the way???? The sound still isn't correct and the landing light on the front of the cowling is inoperative. Anyone else noticed this? Gary

Nose-High FDE Fixes
Wow, what a spot on review. I think we need to embrace what Glenn has shared here and apply this to our flight simming experiences. I think most of us(I'm including myself here as well) jump to conclusions as to how " we think it should be" as opposed to just waiting things out and hearing different perspectives. Each aircraft does handle differently. Just as when you get into a car versus a truck, another car, etc., the views over the dashboards look different. My wife drives a big suv. Man I hate getting into it right after driving my Chevy automobile and feeling just a bit awkward when I first get into the driver's seat. Planes are the same way. I've flown both Pipers and Cessnas( IRL) and each time, had to sit in the pilot's seat for a few minutes, just to get comfortable and get the right "feel" for just sitting in the aircraft. Personally, I prefer flying low wing over high wing aircraft for flying as well as visibility purposes. This is probably due to the fact I was trained in a Piper Tomahawk. I'm certain fliers that trained in Cessnas feel differently than I do and have an affinity towards high wing aircraft. The fact remains, however, that no two aircraft fly exactly the same way and sitting in each cockpit looks and feels different. Once again, nice job Glenn! Gary

Same here! Not sure what I'm doing wrong either. Gary
