  1. sorry .... scratch my earlier. overlooked it was a MSFS question...no need for chatter in other sims 😘
  2. i'm confused ..... why do you need chatter ??
  3. & remember if appropriate, AS3PD provides 3D "real" precipitation data (current & historic) for one's aircraft WXR (eg PMDG / FSL etc)
  4. ASP3D is required for P3D5 ....... the weather engine + ASCA or any other textures, even the sim's own. Only ASP3D & FSGRW have both current (live) & historic weather, but only ASP3D has TAF data in each mode. ASP3D excels compared to all other weather engines in that its download of current metars (including speci's) are within 5mins of issue & correctly stamped ( as are corrected / ammended TAFS as well). ASP3D's historic metars are less comprehensive / accurate (as it is only an "on the hour" hourly snapshot of the latest & hence a tad erratic .... an hour ahead or behind when compared with the TAF). @tegoid .... fyi.
  5. loved the soundtrack .... nothing else made sense,
  6. & even if that is downwind within limits (ie the wind always blows "down" the runway, but could be a head/tailwind)
  7. i'm lost ..... was this before or after your problems with traffic360 did you uninstall it because of the sound problem & hence, if uninstalled, what traffic.bgl's do you have as an alternative ??
  8. step 1 .... you had AI before the reinstall (so the *.bgl's are still being read by VATC's indexer) ?? ..... check the "err.log" in AppData step 2 ..... what are the slider settings you are using (FSX=0)
  9. but they do mention (IRL) a change of runway is expected / planned due to ....... a TAF is the best guide one has in simulation (a metar depiction is historic)
  10. john cheers from 2257 ...... have you checked the device's controller to see if it is spiking & / or has null zones. are you assigning with fsuipc or otherwise ? having used 3DPro's for over a decade, I would suggest its throttle is only suited to piston ga types ..... a logitech quadrant is much better & an economic investment.
  11. the genius they need would not understand such :gobblydook" ...... fortunately last century, genius's understood
  12. @BWBriscoe almost, you need a separate tiller axis and a pedal steer axis which blends nose wheel steer with rudder steer depending on the IAS ,,, on ground in particular
  13. pedal nosewheel steer is limited to about 7o in airliners decreasing with speed as the rudder becomes effective .............. a tiller is needed for parking (if one's sim behaves correctly) max rudder deflection is about 20o airborne.
  14. i went home before dusk a month ago ..... though a bit cranky with the new version (seems to cater for kiddies) & still no Lido options.
  15. @Christopher Low I guess the OP needs to be a tad more specific about offsets .... where, intentional etc. never seen that but my experience is limited & not recent .... though i understand / appreciate your notes.
  16. Christopher The lateral path shouldn't be ...... but may seem so due to drift perhaps (seen when visual or checking heading vs track). Is slightly offset seen at 3nm, more or closer & seen against another parameter (as you have no localiser). But then maybe it's how the sim's magvar influences the lateral data one sees. The vertical (glide) path can be a tad different due FF/MDA demands etc..
  17. I have always suspected so, not that my regular airports have as benign winds as your example. Any ATC that can offer "force a runway" despite a possible but acceptable downwind gets a vote in my book.....even better of its own calculations within the boundaries of preferred & acceptable. It would be interesting to know what your sim's atis wind is ....... as I believe AS synthesises VRB to an unknown direction not seen in the appdata by P2A.
  18. I see no difference in this between ASP4 & ASP3D ...... it's not a feature I recommend / can use for props or jets. The "prevent download" feature (of weather updates within 50nm of destination) would be a tad more successful if beyond the arrival clearances of P2A. And remember, AS may further synthesise VRB winds to a specific direction (heard on the sim's atis) which could lead to a downwind operation.
  19. current airac in p2ac ... to compare 🤔
  20. bill you have asked a "deal breaker" question ...... look forward to any notes by others on how MSFS can be controlled (eg for downwinds)
  21. Scenery (& other folders such as effects, scripts) added using P3DAO are listed in "addons.cfg" in one's user/appdata ..... folder./
  22. obviously an MSFS question ..... thanks for mentioning 🙃
