  1. Crypto is a good pump and dump because of the volitility, but it would be foolish to hold a long position in $BTC or any crypto at this moment in time.
  2. Is anyone else having issues with aircraft paints loading either all white or corrupted textures? I have run the verify setup and all the necessary items in that section but nothing fixes it. I am running the latest version of OCI.
  3. If the people want billionaires to pay more tax, you can be sure the media will only cover it for a day and never talk about it ever again. The same thing has happened with the Panama Papers and the Pandora Papers.
  4. ^ is owned by Jeff Bezos, I'd find a better source for market news...one with less biased information.
  5. The market is showing signs of a crash with inflation rates being super high, the housing market being overpriced, reverse repo at record highs, and reckless short positions on meme stocks. I am all in on $AMC and held through the run up to $72 in June, with $AMC and $GME being negative beta if a crash does occur its a ride to the moon. I would highly recommend loading up on as many $AMC and $GME shares as you can afford! If you still have Crypto, dump it all as soon as you can.
  6. No plan to open up the weather engine to 3rd party is very disappointing! Hopefully they will consider it in the future. I just hope they eventually (the coming week) get their heads together with PMDG so they can get their NG3 out the door.
  7. What I'm most curious about is that whether there will be a coupon code for those of us that purchased the NGXu for P3D while the NG3 offer still existed. Will it automatically grant us access to the NG3 of all variants or just one and with the impaitence of most of us - yes I am admitting I am starting to really crave the NG3 for MSFS...I am sure if that is the case 99% will just get the 700 and have to pay full price for the rest. The above is just speculation as we haven't heard anything official from RSR about how its going to go down. I for one will definetly be purchasing the 737-700 on day one and then the 800/900 when that releases, as for the 600 I never used the 600 with the original NGX so that can stay as is.
  8. Sometimes there is a static.bgl file you can change to static.off but I have looked all through the files for Bristol and many other airports with statics that unfortunately dont have such a file. I dont like statics either, some look awful in my opinion and take up gates I would like to use, hopefully we can get rid of statics soon!
  9. Pricey? Have you guys used P3D/FSX at all? (US$21.25 | €18,91 | £16.07) very resonable for a scenery considering the amount of work that has gone into it.
  10. I wish Asobo introduced optional updates instead of mandatory updates for all. That is one of the only few things I really liked about P3D, its freedom to choose whether I want to download an update or use the 'older' version. Every update has broken things and made the sim worse while making it better in my opinion. For the first time I will be avoiding MSFS 2020 until either a hotfix is issued or the next update is released sometime around January 2022.
  11. In the flight model section I have it set to Modern, but all options within that menu are greyed out. When I purchase a new airport I like to take a "drive" around to see all the details so that means cruising through fences etc, so I like to turn off the crash realism. Any idea how I can bypass the insim setting by editing a config file within the FS folder? This wasn't a problem in previous versions of the sim, SU7 seems to have reconfigured a few things which I before had the freedom to turn on and off.
  12. I think it could just be a bug, I've never seen such an issue with P3D. I could be wrong though so don't take my word on it. It is very annoying though and I didn't have the notification before the latest update for the OCI was installed.
  13. I hadn't used MSFS in about two weeks and had no update or did anything to the sim, but when I first loaded it up after that two week break my graphics settings were reset and I had to readjust them all over again. Its very annoying when this happens and I hope Asobo fix it sometime down the line. In other news...I cannot download the last 2.37GB of the update, the installer just CTD's and wipes the sim from my hard drive (not the entire folder just about 500mb that makes my computer think that MSFS is not installed when I click the icon. "Reinstalling" via the Microsoft Store fixes the issue in seconds but its back to square one when trying to download the update. Very frustrating and it isn't the first this has happened.
  14. Sitting on the grass next to 27L at Heathrow the other day watching as the AI began to taxi for departure, although only an American 787 departed from 27R the whole time I was just amazed at how good the AI models and paints look in MSFS compared to P3D. The individual sounds for each aircraft and the lack of "bleed" through of sounds within the flightdeck really brought that extra bit of realism we have longed for. Asobo really ought to get their heads into working on the AI. I don't care for the eye candy or world updates. Just fix the internal issues before introducing newer stuff - is something these big companies really ought to focus more on.
  15. No news is good news because it means they are hard at work getting her ready for previews and release. Atleast we don't have to wait another 12+ months for the NG3, atleast I hope we dont...looking at you Asobo!
  16. I think live traffic will be available but according to a post in this topic they are having a few issues with live traffic at the moment that Asobo need to sort out. Flightplans are up to date, so at AIG there are Winter and Summer flight plans with a lot being updated throughout the year. Defunt airlines are easily removed in the menu of the OCI or One Click Installer program. As the flight plans are true to life you won't see a LOT E175 for example operating a domestic flight from KSEA, unless such an aircraft is leased to an airline in real life and has a hybrid livery or such. To install flight plans that the AI uses you will need a seperate program which should be included in the final release package. The program judging by my use of it in P3D, will not be required to run while in MSFS unless there is something MSFS does differently that requires such a thing. Two or Three clicks to confirm and download/install flight plans. You can multi select flight plans you want to install which literally takes 10 seconds or less depending on if you want them all or not. There are payware and freeware models, the freeware models the OCI will automatically download according to the flight plan you're downloading/installing. The payware ones which are FSPXAI and a few others can be purchased on stores such as simmarket, I have a few of FSPXAI's models and they are outstanding. As for paints, there are literally thousands of freeware paints already available which will be downloaded automatically again depending on what flightplan you are downloading. Freeware, but you can donate to AIG if you so please. Cannot comment as I do not have access. Liveries are as true to life as you want them to be. If a new aircraft is just released in the real world and say American Airlines operates it, but a model hasn't been made for the AIG flightplans yet then a substitue will be used. Other than that all aircraft and liveries are true to the real world. I cannot comment on whether GA will be available, but I do know that private jets flight plans are available for P3D through the OCI so maybe we will see such a thing in the future.
  17. Its giving Royal Caribbean a run for its money!
  18. Exactly 3:00 from clicking on MSFS in windows menu to main screen of the simulator. I have 46.4GB of files in the community folder and a few more stuff from the Marketplace installed. I think a lot of the loading times can be mainly played in part with your internet connection. As I have said in previous posts - my internet isn't the greatest with a ping of 16ms, 92.10 down and 16.92 up.
  19. My old machine with the 4770k used to run at average temps of 95c to 100c, I know not ideal but that chip was known to run hot!! My new machine runs in the 20's when browsing the web and hits a max of 58c when using MSFS. Its also whisper quiet regardless of what program I throw at it!
  20. I bought the 737 style thrust lever handles and spring loaded flap lever kit. The throttle handles feel really nice, they are plastic but really good quality and well worth the price in my opinion! The spring loaded flap lever is such a simple design yet very effective, it does a good job at adding a lot more realism to the throttle itself and is also of excellent quality. I couldn't recommend getting this set enough! It just makes me question why Honeycomb didn't/doesn't have such things available for their throttle.
  21. I couldn't be happier with my throttle. To make it even better I bought a few things from Aero/Moto. https://www.aeromoto.net/shop
  22. Simple traffic is using the default models that come with MSFS, all it does is add real liveries to the default models. AIG will provide the most realistic experience that MSFS 2020 will likely ever see in terms of quality of models, paints and routes while constantly being updated by individuals for free. The AIG-AIM-OCI does not use the default models that come with MSFS, instead it uses models which are converted from FSX/P3D to work with MSFS and are some of the best quality models around. I hope I have gotten all of that correct, this is just based on my assumption as to what to expect. I have used AIG for my AI for the past three years or so and the quality of the flightplans, paints, models and development work is just outstanding and really puts some of the payware stuff to shame.
  23. Are you using multiplayer? Ai traffic on/off? I do not use multiplayer as it started to cause some issues when around other players, after reading various posts on other forums it turns out that when you get within the vicinity of a player with a livery you do not have installed it can cause issues such as stutters etc. I do not use Ai traffic as it is just terrible in its current form, the models are just terrible in my opinion. SU6 has fixed a lot of issues for me, one of the major ones being performance degradation after a long time in the sim. I completed an 8 hour 30 minute round trip from EPKK - BIKF - EPKK today and didn't have any performance degradation what so ever, I also did not have one stutter the entire trip was as smooth as can be!
  24. TFDi has the MD-11 in development and Inibuilds has the A310 in development plus a secret project they have been working on which is being revealed in December. I am also pretty sure we will have atleast the 777 from PMDG by this time next year in the sim.
  25. I took off last evening from Porto flying the A32N in the fine sunset flying into the darkness, but the sky wasn't dark for very long as just off to my right was the 'rising' moon which was blood red as it slowly graced the horizon. A good half hour later and the clouds, cities below and atmosphere were lit up by a bright full moon. The city streets down below clearly visible, just silently gracing the skies above Europe. Final descent into Zurich was a spectacular sight.
