  1. New 737 NG's equipped with Split Scimitar Winglets, the first release in the 747 line with the -8/-8F and updates to all previous FSX models to make them compatible with P3D V2 during night. All available at the FSXAIBureau. P.S as far as I can tell at least two painter sites already have some paints done for the Scimitar models, flyingcarpet75.com and juergenbaumbusch.de Cheers.
  2. The link works for me fine.
  3. There is no FSX data converter to implement because FSX doesn't come with any built in SID or STAR data only approach data and this program has no use for that data as it doesn't control the planes on the approach stage only on the SID or STAR stage. if you want to take full advantage of the software you will need to buy one cycle of AIRAC data. BTW Clipper Ocean Spray, why are you using the PMDG data and not for example the Captain Sim data? In my experience having written an AIRAC approach data to FSX XML approach data converter the Captain Sim data is easier to parse since it is similar in format to CSV files while the PMDG format is actually written in a pseudo human language (probably because when it was invented PMDG wanted it to be easy for people to update and write new SID's and STAR's) which is harder to parse correctly.
  4. This can happen if you have UTX Caribbean and UTX USA but don't have the latest patches installed.
  5. Just trying out your program and one "feature" is really problematic, if the program is running pressing the ESC key in any OTHER open program will cause AISIDSTAR to quit. You should limit the quitting to only happen when the AISIDSTAR window is selected.
  6. Search for AIFP V2, it will batch convert all of your BGL's to the FSX format.
  7. This is mainly because you are using FS9 models in FSX, these models slow down FSX considerably. I performed a test where I displayed 240 FS9 AI models on an island in the middle of the pacific and got 11 FPS, replacing the FS9 model with a native FSX AI model more then doubled the FPS to around 25(remember 240 AI airplanes on the screen). The last year did see the AI communities first freeware native FSX models made by FAIB but they are a small group and have only recently finished making the Boeing 737 family and are now finishing up the Airbus A32X family with both FSX and FS9 native AI models. While these are only two aircraft families they are the most popular jets on the face of the planet so using these models in FSX should increase your FPS. Using UT2 will also improve performance in FSX since their models are also FSX native.
  8. Your KLAX has AFCAD issues, you have both the addon airport(blueprint?) and default KLAX showing.
  9. I am sorry but its quite annoying hearing about WOAI models, WOAI paints and WOAI flight plans when there are in fact none. WOAI deserve credit off course but more importantly the people who supply the rest deserve even more credit and unfortunately they are not getting it. I am talking about credit from the community not name credit as WOAI clearly states in all its packages which files are used and gives proper name credits.
  10. You should really also thank all of the people who spend their free time developing freeware models, repaints and flight plans for AI use which then WOAI only packages (that's right WOAI never made a model/repaint/flight plan) and gives you in a neat simple to install package. Without those guys there wouldn't be a WOAI.
  11. Changing the model to the TFS one wont help unless its the FSX native one available as a part of Ultimate Traffic 2. There is a bug in FSX with regard to alpha sorting of old FS9 models and only moving toward FSX native models will solve this.
  12. Well, two reasons a. the topic has "AI" in the header b. he is talking about "installing" flight plans, only one kind of flight plans can be installed and that is the AI kind.
  13. Guys he is talking about AI flight plans these you do need to install and also install the needed AI models and paints. I suggest to the OP to search Google or go to this link: https://www.google.com/search?q=aifp+v2+tutorial There are several tutorials on how to use AIFP V2 which is the easiest way to install AI flight plans. I also suggest you visit the AIG forum at http://www.alpha-india.net/forums/ which is the hub for all AI related things.
  14. Raising it will cause object to disappear even quicker because now they only need to be 20px wide to be considered for rejection when before they needed to be 10px wide. Removing the option from the FSX.cfg means nothing is now considered for rejection, I usually set this at 4 which gives a good results unless you run a very low resolution screen like 1280X1024 and below.
  15. Just wanted to know if this has been fixed in the latest beta posted today?
  16. So in a future upgrade this problem will be solved by keeping a dummy theme file for FSX to always find? that's good news.
  17. Tried the latest version(not beta) and noticed FSX now freezes for about 15 sec and than an error message comes up saying the weather theme doesn't exists. OpusFSX is configured correctly and points to the FSX folder(UAC is disabled and everything is set to run as admin). Using Process Monitor I was able to deduce that the weather theme file Opus creates has its disposition set to delete and is deleted before FSX can process the load theme command and thus the message appears. I have recently upgraded my FSX drive to an SSD as well.
  18. I was at a friend of mine who bought OpusFSX for live weather and trying to get me on board as well, the first thing I noticed was the VC zoom using the space bar and mouse was not smooth anymore. Well after some fiddling with options and using grep (for searching inside cfg files) I was able to figure out that every time OpusFSX is launched it updates the cameras.cfg file located next to the fsx.cfg and overwrites the Virtual Cockpit camera definition changing the SmoothZoomTime parameter from 2.0 to 0.0 which leads to no zoom smoothing in the VC. Can the developer comment on why this is done and if there is a way to prevent this change from happening if I am only planning on using OpusFSX for weather?
  19. The issues isn't just that the default command is ignored but that it is very poorly implemented in FSX, at best you get a jittery moving jetway that will sometime perform weird acts and finally wont even attach to your airplane correctly. The scenery development community has a very good reason to go with a custom solution like AES, It looks and operates ten times better. My hope is that in the future the guys at FSDT will figure out how to correctly control and animate the gates, this in my opinion will be the best solution for us the simmers.
  20. General overview of AI installation is available here: http://fsxaibureau.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=62
  21. http://www.unitedtrafficteam.net/ They make AI models for MSFS like AIA,TFS,HTAI,FAIB. Finally we have a good 747-8. thanks UTT.
  22. I don't have any contact points problem as the following FS9 screen shots show. Did you by any chance simply replaced the model files and kept the old AIA cfg file? if you did that would explain why your contact points are messed up.
  23. I would install both aircraft as a flyable aircraft (the FAIB readme says this can be done using AirED to edit the .air file) and check them visually inside the simulator. As far as I can tell the biggest advantage is for the FSX folk who are getting much better looking textures and better FPS. My impression from judging several aspects of the models in FSX is that FAIB captures the shape of the 737 much better then the AIA and features much more detailed flaps, better shaped nose and a correct fuselage cross section.
  24. There is going to be an excellent payware version soon... http://www.flightbeam.net/
  25. And its not just for FSX, theres a native FS9 model included as well.
