  1. Always worth checking regularly. The rate Pete does updates, there'll probably be a new one by the end of the week!
  2. Latest version (at time of writing) is actually 4.974b.
  3. No, you can just install over the top. All your settings will be kept.
  4. I use VA with 4.2 no proven. You do need to make sure that P3d is set at the target and that it has focus. That may not be obvious if you're in VR. I use a small AutoHotKey script to automatically refocus the window if it's needed.
  5. Pete Dowson just posted that he's on holiday from tomorrow for 2 weeks. Standing by.......
  6. I've used this technique in some of my freeware models. The developer adds code in the aircraft model to read the title line to look for specific words, and then hides or displays parts accordingly.
  7. It's changed in V4.x. Look under the "Vehicle" menu. The instrument panels are there.
  8. Simple Airport Scanner will find duplicate airports. http://www.scruffyduck.org/simple-airport-scanner/4584282795
  9. You could program the joystick button to a standard P3d control that's not used in that particular aircraft, say cabin lights for example, then write a small xml gauge to set the L:var depending on the state of the cabin light. Of course you would have to make sure it's something unused which may vary from aircraft to aircraft.
  10. Yes, new update works Ok. Thanks for the support Keven.
  11. Hi Keven, I've had CP for a couple of weeks, all good up until now. Spent a bit of time yesterday setting hot corners for various aircraft. Started the sim this morning and CP popped up the "Something unexpected happened" box. Using the latest experimental version 0.4.73. I managed to access the preferences window before the program quit so I could change back to the standard version. That version will start and run fine, but if I swap back to 0.4.73 it will crash again. As an experiment, I disabled the 'net connection so CP was forced to start off-line, and then it loaded and worked fine. Re-enabling the internet connection and CP crashes on load again. Maybe it's a corrupt profile stored in the cloud, I don't know. The error log should have been sent automatically. Any ideas?
  12. Rob uploaded a new version just a couple of days ago with P3d v4 compatability and some other enhancements. Should be in the library here, or over at SimOuthouse.
  13. I'm considering getting this. Quick question though. I have controllers disabled in P3d, but assigned and calibrated via FSUIPC. If I use the 125htz option, will that cause any issues? I assume I'll just leave the axis unassigned in FSUIPC and the Q400 external fd will read the data directly?
  14. In the sim, go to the "Navigation" menu and check the "Navigation Visuals" box. That will pop up a box. Untick "Enable Ribbon Visuals".
  15. They do have a demo for the Otter. https://www.justflight.com/demos
  16. No, the files can be anywhere, as long as the folder is active in the P3d scenery library, either by using the old scenery.cfg method, or the new addon.xml method.
  17. LM's new file structure doesn't help. Although you can define a new autogen folder, it just replaces the original and doesn't merge them. What you need is "Autogen Configuration Merger" here: https://www.scenerydesign.org/autogen-configuration-merger/
  18. Interesting. I'll download that and have a look. I've not come across a FSX native model that doesn't have a preview yet, but obviously I've not tried them all!
  19. It means they're not P3d or FSX native. Probably FS9 portovers that are "FSX compatible". They won't work in P3dv4.
