I was reading the AI development thread here on Avsim where Kaii mentions native FSX (non MSFS) models all needing conversion to MSFS specs because they are causing CTDs. A lot of airports, payware and freeware, include static aircraft and I'm wondering if they're the cause of most everyone's CTDs. Greg mentions a CTD near the German-France border and I've read other threads where the posters indicate a specific area where the CTD occurs. Is there an addon airport in the area that gets loaded into the sim and suddenly causes a crash? I can't check this because I'm not experiencing any CTDs in the two latest updates since I've been running the sim with only a few addon airports, FSDreamteam KORD, KSDF, CYVR and LSZH, and Flightbeam KDEN and KPDX. Those six airports are always in the Community folder so always active. I keep them up to date. Addon Linker has disabled the others since I'm too lazy to see if they're compatible with the newest updates. I'm not even sure if static aircraft at an airport would cause the CTD Kaii is describing but thought I'd bring up the idea.

What they said. It's the same old, same old business model Carenado's been using since forever. I bought the Mooney but that's as far as I'll go with them unless it gets fixed.

Give it another go. Work smarter, not harder. Plenty of other areas in this sim to bang your head against.

Not sure how far down it will drill but it could read any "*.json" files it finds and load an addon(s) you don't want activated. I'd use a location (folder) completely outside the Packages or Communities folder to avoid any snafus. No reason to tempt fate. Addon Linker was made for this type of situation. Available at "flightsim.to"

Have you looked in the Content Manager yet? There are numerous updates waiting to be downloaded from there also.

In the Microsoft Store search for "Xbox app". Download and install and you should be good to go. Will now recognize the update.

Doubt it. This is Microsoft. They'll "nationalize" the MarketPlace so you either sell thru it or you don't sell.

No problem @ FSDT Ohare. FPS are better than pre-SU6 if you give it a minute to load everything.

Just checked on Simmarket and no updates to his 4 season pack or 3D trees. He'd be all over it if there was a problem. But keep tuned anyway, he's always tweaking something.

ATC still needs some work. Wanted me to land the CRJ at PAKT with a 24 knot tailwind on "rwy28 water."

Curious to know where you got the new pots. Might come in handy down the road if I don't buy a Honeycomb yoke.

Being positive creates "false hope?" Right. I hope that never makes sense to me. No need to revisit this later on, I'll continue to be positive in spite of what tomorrow brings.

I didn't learn this, I'm being positive is all. What's the harm to think things will get better?

I'd hold off one more day and see what the Sept. 7, 2021 update brings. I have the Eclipse yoke which started out extremely erratic in MSFS but has gotten better and better with each update release. I have now reset all sensitivities inside MSFS and calibrate the yoke with a registered version of SFUIPC. Rudder is still a little funky on the rollout but now I'm able to keep her on the runway without flipping over. I also use FSUIPC to control any spikes coming out of the "pots." I'm positive this update will further improve flight controls thruout the fleet.

I thought it isn't possible to fly underneath bridges and inside tunnels in MSFS.

I love his season's mods so don't take this the wrong way, but you DO notice he is requiring his 4 season's pack to be installed. Just a heads-up for those going over the edge.
