Have you updated KDEN thru the Contrail program? Flightbeam forum shows this problem being fixed back in July, 2021. But could be Asobo broke it again.

Install: Extract the "gobby-duxford" folder to your /Community/ folder. It's probably the folder below EGSU.

From the World Map screen press the <spacebar> or click "SPACE" at the bottom of the screen.

I despise subscription based anything but you already know that voluntary donations aren't paying your bills. So it seems to me you have no choice but to go in that direction if you wish to continue as a website. Selling T-shirts, hats or Avsim mood rings will hardly be worth the effort involved, and are a different kind of voluntary payment. Since you don't really offer anything different than other flight sim themed websites it's going to be a difficult sell when the time comes to ask for subscribers. Or you could turn the lights off and close the doors. Whatever you decide, good luck with it.

Flightsim.to keeps track of all your downloads, all 1TBs of them. Longshot, but looking thru the filenames and/or dates might trigger a memory. I've had to do that more than once but I only have a couple dozen different downloads. See you in spring!

Chaseplane and the Eaglesoft Citation X

I use the batch file that's included with FSUIPC7. Immediately get a "Preparing your cabin" (that's funny) splash screen so I know the sim is loading. And being a batch file I can also load other programs/utilities, however I use "exe.xml" for that.

At what expense? Past performance shows that Asobo needs to break something else in order to fix a problem. I'm being cynical of course, but we're not getting this sim better, only changing the mistakes.

After having absolutely no problems with MSFS since I reinstalled Win10 and the sim itself beginning of August, this morning I setup a flight and press "FLY" and it's hung at about 50-60% loading. offensive initials not allowed!

Relax. You can't uninstall Microsoft Edge so ignore it like most everyone else does. You said you got the C-17 downloaded so go enjoy flying it.

Xfinity (Comcast) has a data cap here in eastern Tennessee. 1,200TB I believe each month and they make it seem it's their privilege to allow you to have that much. Since MSFS2020 came on the scene I've been getting a "you've used 75% of your data" email from Xfinity around the 20th day of each month. So yes, if I'm at FL3XX and think about it I do turn Bing Data to OFF for the remainder of the flight. Bandwidth here is pathetic, too, but that's another story. Fiber-optic is still years away.

I have Win10 and MSFS on the same SSD but on different partitions. There are no moving parts on an SSD so I don't understand the reason to put the OS and flight sim on completely different physical SSDs. My two cwnts.

I see these are on sale in the MSFS Marketplace but not on the Latin VFR website. 29% off or $5.99 USD. Being on the Marketplace they're probably encrypted and I'm wondering if there's anything that I could ever want to tweak and not be able to get at? I'd also rather support the developer but don't know if Latin VFR is discounting their MSFS stuff yet. Anyways, they're 29% off and that's a bargain.

Could be the servers. I don't think I was in the first wave for the 1.19.9.0 update. MS Store immediately found the update but still sat there at "pending" for a long time before starting the download. I most always think it's the company (in this case Microsoft) looking thru my computer to see what I've been doing. Yes, that's paranoia.

You've already spent the best part of two days without accomplishing anything, so ... I have a dedicated machine for flight sim so ripping everything out and redoing it doesn't bother me too much. Got it done in less than one day and I know I fixed the problem. Constantly patching programs only works for so long. I do have a number of backups should I absolutely need something that got wordnotallowedcanned. Whatever your choice, good luck.

When I lived in Wisconsin WE Energy did telephone the affected customers BEFORE any scheduled maintenance. And sometimes, not all the time, they'd call with information about an unplanned outage. That they knew about it and approximately how long it would take to fix.
