  1. Hi guys, quick question regarding the blower operation in the DC-3. I am used to their operation thanks to the A2A Connie. I turn them on as soon as my engines are unable to hold 42 MP climb power as per AH manual, which is usually around 6000ft.This is also done according to AH manual. However, at some point during cruise / climb, approximately around 12500 ft or about 20 min after I switched them on, they seem to "fail", and I'm left without them for the rest of my flight. This proved tricky when flying above high terrain as I was unable to climb higher. Is this some kind of failure or bug ? If it is a failure, what could be that I do wrong ? Any input appreciated 🙂
  2. Incredible looking. Congratulations this is a very nice job.
  3. Type CMD in the running bar down left. Right click on the Command Prompt icon, then run as administrator. This should do the trick.
  4. You might want to try an sfc/ scannow and chkdsk too.
  5. Opening my Appcrashview program which I have not done for a while, I realized this started to occur around 18th of April. I think this is around the date at which I updated all my raw Microsoft apps using the Microsoft Store update function. All my other drivers are up-to-date (GPU, Mobo etc.) so I suspect this batch of update might have caused some trouble. In the mean time I have ran anti-malware and antivirus scan to no avail. For now, I have set the gameinputsvc.exe that is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft GameInput\x64 to run as admin. I think the risk involved here is limited. So far it seems to have fixed the repetitive crash. The process is running as I type with a flight ongoing and it has not crashed nor caused any trouble at the moment.
  6. Hello, What an unfortunate timing. I realized this morning the same error kept showing up. Apparently it is related to the Microsoft Gaming Services. I suspect one of the latter update to be faulty, but I am far from being proficient in this domain.
  7. Your repaints had me fire up the Learjet 35 again. Flying N104PH right now, she's a beauty. Thank you very much.
  8. Unfortunately only the RXP GNS5/430 have crossfill. And I agree with others 🙂 I own both and prefer the RXP one, mostly because of the extended customization and support.
  9. So I got the DC-3 only. Randomly : - the plane comes with 4 navigation options : radionav (VOR and ADF) ; Flight1 GTN750 + Rex/Milviz Weather Radar ; Flight1 GTN650 + Sperry autopilot (the same as the A2A Connie) and the freeware sextant addon (I thought this was an excellent idea). This package is well integrated and should please everyone. I have not tried to replace the F1 GTN with the RXPs (yet). - the 3D model is beautiful. The cockpit textures are awesome, and the PBR is very well done. It has the A2A Rain Effects too. - the cockpit animations are also very good. The needles shake depending on the engine power output and flight regime. - sounds good too. - she is very stable in flight. The Sperry autopilot is of good help, but she's quite easy to maintain stable with the trims. Performance wise, I'm still trying to see if the figures are respected (relation between RPM, power output and cruise speeds etc ) but unfortunately the manual is very light on this subject. I had to dig out another DC-3 manual on the internet. The good news is that so far the figures seem to check out. Clearly, there's been a lot of work done here. I'm not rated on the DC-3 so I won't comment on handling, except that it seems to match the numerous cockpit videos you can see on the internet. - the engine startup may seem difficult at first, but it is in the end quite easy to manage. The landing gear is another story ha ha - it does not seem to be as advanced as the Accusim products in term of engine wear, hangar management, let's say what I'd call persistent mode. Overall, I am pleased with it, it seems rather complete. I still need time for a definitive opinion but as a first view, if you are a classic propliner fan, I think she's good to go.
  10. I don't see that mentionned in the manual but it seemed to have done the trick though. Thank you !!!
  11. I have the same problem as you unfortunately. I'm trying to figure out the root cause.
  12. I concur with what's been previously said - the F1 is good, but showing its age. Turbine engine wise, it was one of the first addon to correctly depict the behavior of the engines in the FSX/P3D world. It has a quite advanced "persistent" mode with engines cranking up hours, brakes that wear out, and also it has icing modelization. If it had updated graphics it would be so great.
  13. Also as @Nyxx stated, make sure to use the correct profiles with PFPX. Simulated versions are A321-211 with CFM56-5B3 and A321-231 V2533-A5. This makes a huge difference in terms of performance calculation with those having some of the high max gross weights.
  14. I was able to grab it very soon, flying her right now from LEMD to LFPO with Iberia. Very smooth so far ! Love the Take off performance calculator, put it to good use in Madrid. Make sure you read the documentation on the little changes.
  15. What he says. Be careful guys, the Captain Sim sales are sometimes not bargain at all INCREASING prices rather than "sales". Be careful !!!!
  16. 1)They say it's a rebuilt from the ground. Nothing much from the old aircraft is in, so I tend to believe them. BUt it's still an 737NG so don't expect too much change. 2)There is a default Ryanair livery 3)Yes
  17. Do you use ORBX Vectors ? Make sure to disable LFPG in AEC. Check out if you have any AFCADs or anything installed. Otherwise, I think a full uninstall / reinstall is in order.
  18. Hi, Have you checked that you did not have a previous LFPG scenery installed ? Otherwise your best luck would be to directly contact the developper.
  19. Here are some figures and operating procedures here : http://freechecklists.net/Resources/Lockheed/L1011+1_50_100/ Useful informations can be found like EPR settings and landing speeds. Still could not get my hands on take off vspeeds yet. Anyone ?
  20. Interesting. In Europe ATC can lift speed restrictions. Saw that happen in FRA, LHR, MAD and TLS also.
  21. Are you aware that LM is actually the manufacturer of the F-16 nowadays ? Not so sure they'd need to buy it back 😀 I'd get one by prize lottery though lol
  22. They did it. They managed to put on sale for 20.20 items that were 19.99. Crooks.
