I am buying a new graphics card. My current graphics card is an AMD RADEON HD 7520 which is decent but can't run more than 1 and a half hours on FSX. I am planning to buy a better GPU so when the PMDG 777-300 comes out I can FINALLY do long hauls. I want a graphics card that can last for more than 17 hours on ultra settings fsx but I dont want to spend to much on it. Will the GTX 660TI do the job or should I get a GTX 760? Still wondering... And what kind of GTX 660 or 760 should I get? TI? Superclocked? 2GB? Thanks, Andrej

HI, I had built a PC for my flight sim, and had lackluster performance. I always suspected the video card as I never hit more than about 30% CPU load. One of the guys at the flight school also built a machine were he threw caution into the wind, Haswell i7 and a Geforce titan Card. He runs Three monitors for cocpit view and a forth one for instruments. Needless to say I was jealous. When Talking to him about his settings he claims other than messing with some configs to spread the cockpit view across three screen, he did noting else. So Obviously I am ready to step up and replace mt video card. The question is, i can locally source a GTX 770 for a decent price or I can order a titan in for a ridiculous amount... Will the 770 do the job and is the titan overkill? im planning on running tripple 24" monitors

What graphic settings would you recommend for me with a GeForce GTX 650 with overdrive? I want to get the most out of the graphics card, but also don't want lag.

Hi I'm helping my friend choose his parts for his new PC. It will mostly be used for SketchUp, but he'd also like it to play FSX on high/medium high settings. Will a GT 630 meet his requirement? He doesn't want to spend more than $80 on the GPU. The CPU will be an i5-3550.

I've tried running with NVidia Driver versions between 314.07 and 314.22, and on each version, I get an immediate crash to desktop when launching FSX. It crashes before the FSX menu screen can open. It is also accompanied with a crash to the Windows dwm.exe module. Each time I tried a different version of the 314.xx NVidia drivers, I chose the option for full clean reinstall. Currently I am backed off to 301.42. Is anyone else experiencing anything similar? Thanks, in advance. So after flying on FSX for the past few years, I've decided to update my tank of a laptop and invest in a new Desktop to run P3D. So far I've roughly built up these specs, trying to keep in mind that i don't want to spend to much and also get the best for the buck. Intel Core i7-4790K @4.0Ghz ASUS Z97-A EVGA GTX 970 FTW ACX 2.0 Corsair 750D Western Digital Blue 1 TB HDD Samsung 850 EVO 120GB SSD Kingston 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 Mem. Asus 24x DVD-RW Serial-ATA Internal OEM Optical Drive Corsair H80i Hydro CPU cooler With these specs in mind I stumble to find a cheap Power supply that gives me at least 750W. I'd like to have everyone opinions on computer parts you recommend and what power supply would be best for me. Thanks you!

Hi, I have used NVIDIA Quadro FX 1800. The performance was good with fairly high settings and no stutters. My friend gave me a GeForce 9800 GT. Thinking it would be better I uninstalled the Quadro and used Driver Sweeper before changing the cards. I have applied the same settings as before in the nVidia Inspector. I had fsx create the [Display] section in the fsx.cfg and deleted the old entry. I applied all tweaks as before. Now fps dropped from 25 to 7! Playing with detail settings and tweaks did not get the performance up. For space reasons I had to install the card in the second PCI-E slot. Could that be a problem? Maybe I should not use the latest driver (341.44) but an older one? Or is the card just not that good? Tweaks: [GRAPHICS] HIGHMEMFIX=1 TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=4096 [Main] FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0.1 [bUFFERPOOLS] UsePools=0 [Display] UPPER_FRAMERATE_LIMIT=0 [JOBSCHEDULER] AffinityMask=14 [TERRAIN] LOD_RADIUS=4.500000 WATER_EFFECTS=6 [DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT .0] Mode=1280x1024x32 TriLinear=1

I have encountered a problem with FSX which was not happening last week. See screen capture. My system is using an Nvidia GeForce GTX 560Ti card under DX11 and I have not had a problem until yesterday. I installed new scenery Oslo v2 and the FTX Global Base Pack update v1.2. When I attempted to run FSX, I got this message. Can anyone help? I AM NOT running Prepard3. Thanks Dom

Hello, I currently have an Asus CG5720 BP0003 running an amazing ( ) nVIDIA GeForce GT 220. Back when this was "newer" it was great! But with new addons(and seeing other videos being posted on youbtube) it is very outdated and in need of an upgrade. I was looking around and have my eyes set on a GeForce GTX 560 TI to replace my current 220. I have checked to make sure that it will work/fit into my current system, however I wanted to take a minute to see if anyone else had upgraded recently, and if so, to what? I am about a month away from buying one, so I would like to see what other people have, or if you have a 560ti, how do you like it? Thanks!

Hi I have a sim with 3 monitors at the front, which are currently set up terribly through X-Plane's networked external visuals. I'm considering buying a GTX970 for my sim computer, which would allow me to switch to P3D, and could handle a whole lot of monitors. I've read about Nvidia surround which would probably make setting it up really easy, but the only thing is, all three monitors are different. (they're aligned at the bottom if that helps). Is there any (fairly simple) way that I could set P3D up so that I had all of the front screens off that one graphics card? Thanks -jamang1999
