This is the big patch. I grabbed it last night, but due to other problems I didn't have time to try it out yet. There's a video he's posted there that goes over how to set up the new hat pan ... which gives us the wonderful outside 6-degrees of freedom camera in spot view. It's an amazing camera. Look for this thread called "for movie makers"

Same here. Got a chance to mess with it today, and I love the new spot camera.

I may have missed something but do I set a a world or aircraft camera to do a plane walk around?TIAjja
You want an aircraft camera. I recommend downloading the spot.cam that is posted in their forum. Import that into your plane's aircraft camera column. You will LOVE it!Curt

I just installed EZdok and then immediately installed the update and got it running fine. Did a quick test flight and did notice the effects on the default flight (using the Cessna.) I have to admit that it really does add to the emmersion factor. But I've lost the joystick hat-button view controls. Is there a way of getting that back? I don't wish to view around the cabin via the mouse. I did inactivate it when installing EZdok and then reactivated but now when I try to use the hat, it starts to move the view just a bit but then automatically goes back to the center. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Don't reactivate the hatswitch in FSX, leave it off/disabled as per the manual's instructions.

Thank you for your help. Unfortunately, when I tried that, the hat switch didn't work at all. I'll review the instructions once again. Thanks again!

Hmm. The only thing I can think of is to open the EZdok window while you're flying in FSX, and go to Options -> Define keys... and make sure the "enable joystick POV" box is checked, your joystick is selected, and disable is NOT checked.

OK thanks curt. I couldn't get control+space to do a view (eyepoint) reset until I made a Pilot camera. Very cool app!jja

Does anyone know how to disable the arrow keys in FSX, so I can use the Spot cam to move around? As it is, when using the arrow keys to control the spot cam, they (the arrow keys) control pitch trim and aileron movement at the same time. I can't find any listing for them in the FSX controls to disable them.

I removed most of the number options to do view changes and now the arrows seem to work normally. Do they work in edit mode (num 2)? They are programmed correctly in the EZDOC config out of the box.jja

They are in the "control surfaces" section, but they will be listed as num4, num 6, etc. Just clear out all the control surfaces key commands if you use a joystick for them anyway.
