EZDok - simply the greatest add-on!

They are in the "control surfaces" section, but they will be listed as num4, num 6, etc. Just clear out all the control surfaces key commands if you use a joystick for them anyway.
I do, and thanks! No wonder i couldn't find them.

I truly appreciate your help, molleh. I went to Options -> Define keys, but I don't show an "enable joystick POV" box. I did check "Configure Joysticks" and under "J1" I found my MS Sidewinder FFB II joystick. I know do have the hat switch function working but have lost the EZDok effects! The interface and specifically the instructions leave a lot to be desired, unfortunately. I'll try posting at the EZDok forum as well. Hopefully I can eventually get this working correctly before the 30 days are up. If I can't get the hat switch view working alongside the EZDok effects, I'm afraid I'll have to request a refund. Thanks again for your help, molleh!

If the installer could mature, it would automatically make the config changes after telling you it was going to back the old one up. Not sure how hard this would be.jja

I certainly hope that the next update(s) will address the interface, if possible. It's a very powerful tool and would greatly benefit from a more user-friendly interface. The manual could also benefit from additional information and explanations as well as perhaps a guide/sample walkthrough, if possible. I have a feeling that there's a possible language issue involved as well. The good news is that I finally got the hat switch to work! After many settings changes, restarts, etc., it finally worked alongside the wonderful motion effects. I've been adding a few simple viewpoints via keystrokes and so far, so good. I'm looking forward to getting into it in more depth throughout the week. My addon aircraft need some slight tweaking in regards to view points/distances but it's minor. I just noticed that the default 737 has the seat backrest appearing when one looks towards the sides. It's annoying and it will probably be my first "tweak" to tackle... ;)Thanks again to everyone who helped!

Your 737 problem is due to "3D panoraming" which can be changed/tweaked by right clicking on ML button next to 360, POV, etc. That will bring up a small window with two controls, one for X axis movement on camera rotation and one for Y axis. Having a postive Y axis will make your "camera" shift up slightly the further you look up, and a negative value will shift the camera DOWN when you look "up". X axis will move the camera to the left when looking right with a positive value, or shift to the right when looking left with a negative value. I know it sounds weird but it's very straight forward, just tweak the settings and you'll see. You can also zero them out totally if you don't like it, but it's actually a sweet little tweak for things like a view that can be close up to your instruments when looking down at them, but then be looking out over the "dash" when you look straight ahead.Hope that helps a little.

Thank you once again, molleh!I'll check those settings out later this evening when I get home.

molleh, that did the trick! They were both (X,Y) set to zero so I gave X a +3 and now the headrest is no longer in the picture when looking to either side of the cockpit. Thanks again, my friend! :(

I decided to jump on the bandwagon and so bought EZdok Camera from Flight1 a couple of days ago.Absolutely without doubt, I coulf never fly in FSX now without this! I'm less fussed about setting up loads of camera views, but the motion effects are amazing - they add so much to the feeling of real flight. What a step up in realism!I also use TrackIR and while I have got them working together, (activating TrackIR automatically deactivates EZdok and deactivating TrackIR causes EZdok and the effects to jump back into life), it would be far better in my opinion if the effects would still work while TrackIR was working.I tried the TrackIR mouse emulation but didn't like it.As it is, I'm happy using my EZdok with effects on most of the time (especially take off and landing) and switching TrackIR in for a look around in the flight.I don't understand those who are saying it's really difficult to set up new camera views with EZdok - it's so easy! Just double click on a blank camera view space in the GUI, press 'num 2' to enter EDIT mode, adjust your camera as desired, hit 'Num 2' again, and you're done !I set up 5+ cameras for my 10 favourite planes in FSX and the whole thing only took 30 minutes (most of that time was FSX reloading new planes!).The GUI could be better but that aside, this is a marvelous add-on; anyone flying without it is really missing out!Davido.

This is strange. I had vertical panning and horizontal panning with my joystick hat the spot views but somehow I've seem to lost the ability pan vertically with EZDok enabled. I can still pan horizontally but not vertically with it enabled. Any ideas?

Hi Bob!..does it EVER add that last part of realism to the sim.
Yes it does, I fully agree. In my case I bought a few payware aircraft (Carenado c 185, A2a Cub, Flight Replicas Super Cub) specifically to fly in PNW. Now that I have this wonderful EZDOK I find it not only makes my new payware plane more fun to fly, it also breathes new life into some the default planes as well. I had gotten away from flying some of them until EZDOK came along - now with the easy set up of new camera and the fantastic realistic environmental movements it provides, the default planes are fun to fly.Howard

Do not want to hijack the thread, do not want to open new one as well...I am using TrackIR all the time. The only feature, which I will be using in EZDok is the Virtual Pilot's Head effects (turbulences, landing etc) - is it worth purchasing 40USD software for only this one feature? Does this improves immersion so greatly? Thanks a lot.

Funny you should mention that. Today I upgraded to the 1.15 update and gained the Spot View panning with the hat switch for both horizontal and verticle panning. However after a few hours parked at an airport I took off and flew to another airport. When I landed and parked the Spot View panning still worked in horizontal mode, but somehow the verticle mode quit working. I exited the flight and started a new flight and it was back to normal. Not sure how it quit working after the first flight though.I posted this question over on thier forum, so maybe they will have an answer.

How do you disable 'True View' if running TIR software version 4.1.037 with TIR4 ?Also my TIR is no longer recognising FSX when i made the required TIR and EZCA adjustments as per the video (although again, Im using 4.1.037 software, whcih is the latest version for TIR 4). Im assuming this is because of the changes to the Natural Point/TrackIR4/simconnect.manifest and Natural Point/TrackIR4/simconnectSP2.manifest renamings?? To be clear, TIR is activated in EZDOK. The issue is that TIR does not recognise FSX running.Thankserich

Erich, I may be misunderstanding the guts of how EZCA/TIR works, but I believe what happens when running both is that you disable FSX support for TIR when you rename those manifest files. From then on out, TrackIR isn't recognizing FSX, but it sees EZCA as a "game" and interacts with it instead. You should still get the TIR-enhanced light on your TIR unit when EZCA loads. The only difference is that it's EZCA, and not FSX, that's telling TrackIR what to do.
