Performance with this tweak has really made a huge difference, and I'm flying with FSX much more as a result, but it has introduced instability. Mostly just as I'm approaching an airport. Is there any tweaking that can be done to balance the performance/stability ratio a bit more?Any comments are appreciated.

I get excellent results with BP=50000.Smooth like BP=0 but much stable on my system (I also have lockpus and artifacts with 0).Maybe worth the try?

No Prob,That will limit vertex data sent to the BufferPools UP TO 98304 bytes, the rest will go directly to the GPU (a la BP=0) so this is effectively an 'alternate' tweak to those having instability problems with BP=0

My system is just the opposite and is more stable with BP=0 (an AffinityMask=14).jja

I get low framerates, but stable and smooth with bp=0 now that I lock the framerate in the sim. Still haven't found that perfect tweak to help me get 20fps everywhere, still in heavy weather with heavy traffic in a big city I am luck to get 10-15fps, but I guess I can live with it

Yes - I'm using it in my normal cfg file now. No artifacts, no flashing, no black screens, no hesitations, no pauses or lockups. Life is good.

I assume that I have to add the [bufferpools] section to the fsx.cfg file? There isn't one in my current config file. I believe the wording would be:Up to 98304 bytes of Vertex data is buffered, the rest goes to the GPU unbuffered.

I'm getting excellent performance with BP=0, TextureMaxLoad=30, fps unlimited. External limiter at 40 helps only when flying in areas where the fps go through the roof. What I get is slight scenery drag. Not a big deal. The external limiter fixes the issue.

Hello guys,I receive with UsePools set to 0 a very smooth FSX, but I got white flashing artefacts and black vertical appearing and disappearing stripes. What is the solution for this kind of problems? Any tweaks or suggestions are highly appreciated! Thx a lot. Kind regards, Tommy
