So Flight will be our Prepar3D? :)

Well... interesting video ! i've enjoyed the dynamic weight management (see how the wings balance during test before departure). Shadows also have better aspect.But... WHY DO THE TREES ARE STILL SO HIGH ??? look at their size compare to buidings, warehouses... it's completly unrealistic.I hope they will add some 3D grass.See u in the airEric

Hi !! Have you noticed the stripes of the taxiway are the same utter in FSX! Sorry for my english, i'm italian.

Unless someone's got a kooky sense of humor over there at MS and are setting us up for a bait and switch where a proper update will eventually be revealed, I'm completely underwhelmed.

Well I guess there is not going to be sloped runways in FLIGHT thats for sure, I think all that FLIGHT is going to be is FSX SP3
How can you be sure there won't be sloped runways?

I was excited hitting the button to see this next webisode. It then fizzled out like a silent fart.My first impression of that was complete dissapointment.Like everyone was saying, it looks like FSX with a few bits and bobs added.I thought this was going to look like it had been built fromt he ground up - not a bolt on to FSX.It's pretty safe to say the 1st video was not in-game footage.

what I've noticed is that those videos are becoming one month a part.is that a hint for something?
yep . the hint is they are releasing updates .. one month apart. :(

Once again I ask this; does anybody think the scenery comes close to FSX+ORBX? How can you enjoy this new game after you have been flying in FSX PNW? Ironically, for me ORBX approach in FSX was not a solution either. By the time ORBX gets to make areas I fly in, I will be in a nursing home. So with MS Flight having scenery like vanila FSX I am still in limbo.

Well I can't say for sure but if they are deciding to add this feature they are certainly not showcasing it in this video, oh and MS have never had sloped runways before so after seeing this video I'm just assuming, it's not a deal breaker but it would be nice to see.

How would they make this correction at 27,000 airports in the game? Could the subtle changes in elevation be made with some type of runway adjustment engine?

Good question...Urg, so hard not to comment on the other stuff.
The video has a color contrast edit. These are not actual colors.
And the reason for edit is....???? To make it look like sky from FS2000?

I honestly and sincerely hope that MS doesn't release any more video teasers... :(

First, Hi to Paul! Nice to see you lurking. To the issue of runways and airports in general, Microsoft does not have to correct anything regarding the existing data. But it would be nice to have the ability within the SDKs to make the existing data be overridden by a developer with new data that includes more than one elevation point for the entire airport. If the runways are able to have separate elevation data entires for each end and say center point, then I can go in and make the necessary adjustments. And at least for most of the existing LARGE airports in the U.S. of A., there is existing data for runway TDZ elevations. It has been, is and will be my wish that Microsoft allow for modification of the default data via the SDKs. Most everything can be excluded and replaced. It's just this darn flat airport limitation that still lingers. :(
