new media 22.10....Flight site...

Once again I ask this; does anybody think the scenery comes close to FSX+ORBX? How can you enjoy this new game after you have been flying in FSX PNW? Ironically, for me ORBX approach in FSX was not a solution either. By the time ORBX gets to make areas I fly in, I will be in a nursing home. So with MS Flight having scenery like vanila FSX I am still in limbo.
I think it's a bit silly to think Microsoft could/would/should match Orbx's quality for the whole planet. And even if you didn't meant the whole planet, we're still talking about a crap load of "important" areas that they would have to fill in .

I presume they showed us this so the next one will blow us away completely.Otherwise i can only conclude they are close to completion and the release will be in a few month's.Teasers with in game footage shows us what we can expect, unless it is teasing with old material. Eh, but normally this is done in the same teaser, they show the old and than suddenly the new bursts into the picture, leaving us breathless and stunned :(

Well the next "webisode" will be out around the 21st of November so we'll have to wait and see what that brings, and then release for the 21st of December lol.

yep .. the "boo birds"   are chirping today  :(

HelloLooking at this latest preview it strikes me as if Flight! will be an advance on FSX in the same way as FS2004 moved forward from 2002.Some tidying up of the code and introducing the code needed for the Games for Windows marketplace (launching in November).FSX + DX11 + Games for Windows marketplace + Some Compatibility with existing assets. If they give us just that plus god rays and cloud shadows and fs9 style rain and snow I am happy

Why Bill? LOL Are you embaressed on MS's behalf too? :(
Good question...Urg, so hard not to comment on the other stuff.
LOL..So why try to hold back. We need some insider comments. We won't tell anyone! :Secret:Since we are piling it up on MS, lets add that the landing gear wheels don't even move/roll in this video. They are sliders!! :(

Well, hopefully MGS will consider opening a dialog soon. This latest video has opened up a whole load of questions.

Since we all seem to agree that Webisode 2 was in-game, then the first webisode probably was too right? If thats true, then the clouds in the first webisode would be amazing and would make up for the similarity to FSX that we see in the second webisode. Hopefully we'll get to see more soon and this speculating will be done with! Big%20Grin.gif

I'd greatly prefer that they skip these fluffy pre-pre-beta vids and simply give us a statement of the design goals of Flight. What are they trying to acheive relative to FSX.. that's it.

If this is just a FSX SP3 update repackaged then so be it.If they correct lots of current issues with FSX SP2 and improve the engine/performance for multicore processors then I will be happy.Even more so as all my current FSX addons will still be compatible.Anything has to be better than nothing. It wasn't that long ago when we didn't know if MS would be releasing anything at all for FS.At least there is something now being worked on which will hopefully improve on the current simulator.

Yup it's better to have Microsoft in the game and then out of the game that's for sure. The funny thing is you all moan and groan as if you would actually pass up even a 5% improvement in overall performance.

I would pass, I'm not going to switch sims and start repurchasing all my addons again, like I did going from fs9 to fsx unless of course the new flight is significantly better then fsx. 5% pleaserolleyes.gif
