December 21, 201015 yr I'll be delighted with the C-130 for $13Cdn. Would be even lovelier if you get the whole enchilada - all the models included - for that. Doubt it, but it sure would be nice. Hope they FSX-ify the F-104 one day. :( ___________________________I'm just flying for the fun of it.
December 21, 201015 yr CanadOne, I'm on your side. Been looking for this http://www.captainsi...ducts/c131/pro/ package and maybe we are lucky there. If not, I think the Base Pack will do to, would be 50% off then while the big pack would lose 75% :(.I've read that the F-104 is on the plan of the Lockheed guys, being planned for FSX and prepa3d. Don't ask me about prices then.
December 21, 201015 yr Meh, no discount at all on the 707? Oh well. I wouldn't buy anything else from them - even paying $15 for the 757 I still felt like I got burned.I can imagine their distress.. :( - PC Hardware: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D // Asus ROG Crosshair X870E HERO // 2x32Gb Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5 6000MT/s CL30 // ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC Edition // 4Tb Corsair NVMe M.2 MP600 // Corsair 1600W PSU Samsung Odyssey Arc 55" curved 165 Hz monitor. - Simulator Hardware: VIRPIL Constellation Alpha Prime + VIRPIL VPC Universal Control Panel - #3 + MOZA AY210 Force Feedback Yoke + WINWING URSA MINOR 32 Throttle & PAC Metal + WINWING SKYWALKER Metal Rudder Pedals + WINWING Airbus FCU & EFIS + WINWING Boeing 3N PAP + WINWING MCDU-32 + WINWING PFP-4 + WINWING PFP 3-N + WINWING PFP-7.
December 21, 201015 yr There is a comment on facebook were cs stated this Captain Sim Yes, except the 707 and B-52. Everything else is 9.99. We'll see, may be we'd cut a bit from the 707 and B-52.http://www.facebook.com/captainsim Cesar Martinez AMD 7800X3D RTX5080 NZXT N7 B650E | G.Skill 32GB DDR5 Samsung 980 Pro 2TB | Crucial MX500 (2×) | Crucial P3 Plus Monitor: Philips Evnia 34M2C6500 QD-OLED
December 21, 201015 yr Moderator So why waste your money on birds you don't fly? The cheaper solution is to stay away from them, regardless of the price point.Personally the only reason I waste money I birds I dont fly is because at the sale prices its worth it to me to buy a new a/c that I typically wouldn't purchase at full price and try it out. You never know, you might pick something up on sale and end up really enjoying it. This isn't to say I will just go and blindly start loading the cart full of a/c that I have absolutly no interest in. I have to have at least a small interest in an a/c to take advantage of a sale price. In the case of the Iris sale last week I got the F-14, Christen Eagle and A-10. I didn't care much for the F-14, but I love the Christen Eagle and will probably fly it a little from time to time. I can't comment on the A-10 since I have been too lazy to install it yet. However, I didn't buy the other 5 or 6 a/c they offer because I was absolutely sure I wouldn't fly them at all. Anyway, the point being is that when you can pick up something for close to the price of a cup of coffee at Starbucks, and its an a/c that I have a small interest in, its worth it to me to buy it and at least give it a shot. If I dont like it I dont mind wasting a couple bucks here and there. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

December 21, 201015 yr cmpbellsjc, then maybe the context of my sentences wasn't pointing at you. I'm just wondering about some guys expecting huge discounts on things which don't seem to justify their needs at any given price.Seems like we can hope for that C-130 pack to arrive at 9.99, CanadaOne, if that statement from Facebook is valid in about two days.My "Lockheed guys" thing was pointing towards their plans to release the F-104 on FSX and their Sim too. For Lockheed add-ons used in FSX, again always check the EULA. There may be cases where we might issue add-ons for use in both Prepar3D and FSX. Examples might be the upcoming T-33 and F104 which we will most likely release for both. From here http://www.prepar3d....iewtopic&t=55.0Don't ask me about discounts there though. :(

Good stuff. I'm looking to get the new ORBX NRM scenery (already have PNW & PFJ), and bombing around and tring to get into those little mountain runways with a C-130 sounds like great fun. ___________________________I'm just flying for the fun of it.
December 21, 201015 yr Same plans here, only the C-130 is missing. Orbx NRM is a gem by the way. And they have some nice bad weather there to. :( The C-130 together with that radar screen, some loud prop sounds and heavy cargo down to some small strip could well be fun.

December 21, 201015 yr J&R sells the PMDG 747 and MD11 for $49 bucks and free shipping (among many other titles). I got the 744 last year on sale for $29....I would love the 707 on a deal if I could get it. Al Stiff
December 21, 201015 yr I can imagine their distress.. :(Was the sarcasm really necessary? The only thing I want from them is the 707 but it's still too pricey for what limited funds I have.

December 22, 201015 yr I'm currently in the process of producing a review of the CS 707 for Avsim, so I've been looking at it in a lot of detail. It is a fairly complex bird, with simulations of doppler drift detection, CIVA INS navigation, plus it has a weather radar not to mention pretty much a fully functioning VC, including the FE's panel. With all that in mind, I think it is entirely understandable that CS don't want to bang it out for a pittance just yet, frankly, the standard price is pretty reasonable considering the level of detail it has.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
