Externalities and the NGX

Featured Replies

I believe they do actually - and the animations are desynchronized from each other too, meaning that when you shut them down you're not going to see both fans end up stopping in the same exact position with the same orientation of the anti-bird spiral on the spinner.
WOW! :( When RSR mentioned in the top post that no detail was too small he really wasn't joking. You guys really want to set the bar high don't you. Then again, no one's reached it the last time you raised it anyway...and the time before that...and the time before that... :(

Back in the flap subject a few pages ago it made think of something... Would flap disagree been simulated? Never saw it anywhere! And the new shots look amazing!
Its simulated on the MD-11

MD11 J41 747 NGX . . awaiting 777 !!!

It looks so great! It is very nice! My question is will the whole NG family be done? (ie. -600, -700, -800, -900) . :( This plane is sexy! Its so hot, that it can clean, gut, cook/fry a bird in less then 2 seconds! :(

I'm certain they would be. If they were part of the original NG, it's bound to be available in the NGX. I think it was even said in older posts the -600 thru -900 would be implemented. Its the extras like the BBJ that everyone is waiting for official word on.

Everything looks so amazing! Just a few questions:1. As some of us like to fly with wing views, would it be possible to replace the exterior sound with the interior aircraft sound when in wing view?2. I've flown on Westjet's 737NGs many times, and I've noticed that when the flaps are lowered for takeoff at idle engine speeds, they tend to vibrate very slightly - I imagine due to engine vibration or thrust. Will this be modelled as well?Troy Kaye
1. Can you name some addons that do this? I think pretty much every one I've seen has the external sounds.2. Good eye, I actually noticed this myself onboard the real thing - the inboard flap fairing shakes a lot too until the flaps are raised because it gets down into the top part of the engine's jetblast. I asked about simulating the effect but we probably will not be able to unfortunately due to FSX's hard limit on animations I talked about earlier. We've already hit that limit and some of the much more important features are using them up.

If the wings are being built into the VC model, then shouldn't the interior sounds play while using a wingview (in the VC)?Robert Deichert

Wow. As I was reading this post, <PAGES> were being added to it. It took nearly an hour to read through all of it.Can't wait to fire this one up. Guess I really should start reading my manual set.The level of detail in this plane is simply amazing. Looking forward to future updates this weekend.

I am a little curious about the terrain radar. At what flight level does it disengage? I understand it depends on the mountains surrounding the aircraft, but once you clear any obstacles, does it disengage, or does it simply go blank (idle on?) like with a weather radar? Thanks for the info, and looking forward to "messing up" my first 10-15 flights while I learn how to fly this baby.Just%20Kidding.gif

Not to sound like a total noob and nitpicker but to me the flap flairings almost look squared off on the ends, esp. noticeable on the ground pic with full flaps. The real 737NG flap flaring seem to have a bit of a rounded end, or at least more noticeable then what I saw in the pictures so far. You can see the rounded edges here very well www.airliners.net/photo/Shandong-Airlines--/Boeing-737-85N/1825730/L/&sid=8b3d7d9eda52046879cb08e27a81bfb6Ryan V

Could they last longer if used right?Ryan V
