Absolutely amazing shots. There's alot to be said for having some patience and it truly paid off today. Thanks for the update as always Robert!

Looks like if you can fly the NGX, a real 737 will be no problem at all LOL.gif. If someone build one of those home cockpits, that person can say he's flying a real 737 simulator.

We aren't going to be able to simulate icing on this - we've already hit the hard-coded FSX limit for model animations and the features that are using them are a lot more important than some visual icing is. Icing (weather in general really) can't affect the flight model realistically in FSX... it's really just a visual thing even in the J41. Icing isn't nearly as big a concern on a big jet like this as it is on a turboprop either - there's very good anti-ice systems on the plane and they're always on by Boeing SOP when icing is even possible. We'll be showing off the night lighting shortly, I don't think anyone is going to be disappointed on that front, it looks amazing.
Once again, thank you for the reply and to clear up my doubts. I thought it was as big on a prop plane as in jets. I did a few flights in a Dc-3 in FSX, and ended up with a "Screwed" up engine and carburator, which is why I asked. But, after what you said,I understand it is really not needed to have it extremely modeled beyond the default model in icing. I'll be (im)patiently waiting for the next batch :Big Grin:Congratulations for the entire pmdg team for their work and the OCD in getting the details right( Yes, I have OCD, so much that I stopped playing STO because they couldnt get nooks and crannies right on the ships :( :( )Ricardo de PaulaEDIT: damn, I keep forgetting to put my name

You said more "UPDATES" this weekend, does this mean new screens like you've been showing today or separate pinned topics?

Hi Ryan,

Our long standing position on WX radar remains the same - EGPWS was possible to do in FSX, realistic radar is not. The terrain is a much better feature at least as far as FS is concerned - the weather can't really hurt you in FS, but the terrain certainly can. Believe me, if we could do it we would, there's already a whole host of firsts happening on this airplane that people have said aren't possible in FSX, but weather radar isn't one of them. We've researched this exhaustively, the engine just doesn't work in a way that would allow us to simulate it correctly.
No probs! Can't wait to see what else is new to FS! :DBest regards,Robin.

I guess it's time for us to throw a farewell party for the default 737 :(. I'm considering the possibility of deleting its folder fom FSX so that I'll never remember those times when the NGX didn't exist (just kiddin').

I'm really curious about the FPS. They said it will be better than the 747X and the MD11. But how many better? 10 fps more than with a 747X? Or just only 1 fps more?

Just wanted to say EXCELLENT job on the external model! The aircraft certaintly looks amazing, and even beyond what I imagined. Look forward to seeing more of these updates through the weekend. This has been an awesome week. A2A released the Spitfire, and we have the NGX external update. Now all we need is the aircraft released. :(
