I am amazed at the modeling of the engine. Not only are the fan blades modeled, but if you look at the second picture, you can see through the gaps in the blades to what is behind the AC. This must mean they modeled the interior or at least part of the engine too. Amazing.

Ryan, I have a little question for you. What is that thing in the top-right corner of the HUD? That small gauge with a 8.0 beside? I know that every 737 has that in it's PFD too but have no idea of what are they for.
That's the angle of attack indicator, I believe.

I think thats the attitude (attitude, not aLtitude) bar. There's a fancy name for it but I forget. It measures the pitch of the nose, in this case, 8 degrees above the horizon. Is that right? Yeah Ron got it.

That's the angle of attack scale and indicator. Page 10.42.16-17 of the FCOM Vol. 2 if you have the manual set. It shows you the stick shaker trip point and the approach reference band (which RSR is exceeding haha).

Negative, sir. I don't own the manual set. Yet. So, could you explain it?

It's PNW - we certainly would not be opposed to ORBX doing it though - a "Boeing Airports" pack of RNT, BFI and PAE would be awesome I think personally. Here's a bit of a better shot that shows off the airport scenery:7.jpgOh, and there's some nice wing details visible there too... tongue.gif

I edited the post to explain it somewhat. It just helps you make sure your AoA is correct when landing. The dial on the PFD in that shot isn't the same, that's actually the radio altimeter. (which itself is an option, it can be displayed there as a dial or down at the bottom of the attitude part of the PFD as a number in a box.

Ryan, I LOVE that last shot. The wing details are STUNNING. rolleyes.gif

Ryan;Sorry to bother you in this very busy day,but I have a question...or two or three. Since my real flight experience is only as a passenger... Would we hear the brakes being applied when we land? What about the eyebrows of the 737, would it include the model without it? I wouldn't mind staying without that extra model,or even a VC who doesn't reflect that change, I'm only asking because there are so many details that I was just speechless! Like I mentioned before, can I clone you and the rest of pmdg team? :Big Grin:ricardo de Paula

I found a webside named Smart Cockpit and they have the manuals of the NG. One of the manuals explain what that is. Anyway, thanks for the reply.

I don't think so. There will be no virtual cabin.
Thank you. Well, as I am a pilot and not a passenger, to me interior means everything I have to deal with, which usually is fwd of the cockpit door, not aft. :(
Who cares about the cabin?! Give me the real deal system simulation, good framerates and a bunch of liveries and I'll be on sick leave for a long time ;-)
+1!
I've been pondering the last shot, and all I can come up with is the fact that you're doing a flaps 25 landing.:(
That's what I've been thinking. Then again maybe they're just extending their last bit and running thru 25 just when they took the shot (admittedly, at quite a late point though). I'm sure the devs wouldn't dare a flap 25 landing harhar. :(
Oh, and there's some nice wing details visible there too... tongue.gif
Oh hello, and I love the 3D modelled shaft driving the flaps. Hope it'll be animated during extension... haha j/k LOL.gif

The RA on the HUGS seems to be at the bottom of the horizon. Not sure if it interferes with the heading bug in that shot but it certainly reads 630, just as the round dial version on the PFD. Certainly looking forward to the flood light update shot... Big%20Grin.gifsig.gif

I've been on a lot of real NG flights in the past few months, I don't recall hearing the brakes in any real way. I'd assume it's similar to a car where brakes that are making noise are brakes that aren't working the way they should be. The reversers are very loud at that point anyway too. We do have selectable two options for brakes though - steel vs. carbon and they have different deceleration rates, different heating models etc.
