Externalities and the NGX

PMDG,I'm well aware of the entire development team trying to bring us the most accurate simulation of a 737NG ever, which is why at first I'll say your overall modelling is exquisite and very appealing to the eyes. However, I couldn't help but notice a few things here and there, maybe it's just my old eyes but in the hopes of having you bring us this amazing bird, with no flaws, I feel as though I should point these out. 1. There is texture stretching on the wheel rimszlahol.jpgAs a developer myself, I know this isn't at all hard to fix and is just one of those things that as an FS video maker, I will notice right away.2. The top edge of the winglets isn't curved down enough, it almost looks flat. Here are comparisons with the real -800 wingletsflkd8g.jpgBelow are real world examples of how the winglet droops down forward.2u9qzp3.jpg2zp5gna.jpg2j65pvk.jpgThis is in no way trying to bash you guys, I've been following development almost every day since last January. Along with nearly every one else on this forum I hope to see the best from you guys! So, Robert, Ryan, Vin, and everyone else on the team, keep up the good work! 1046-thumbs_up_smiley.gif

We do have selectable two options for brakes though - steel vs. carbon and they have different deceleration rates, different heating models etc.
Oh god, what else did you put in this plane that we don't know?!Nail%20Biting.gif

It's PNW - we certainly would not be opposed to ORBX doing it though - a "Boeing Airports" pack of RNT, BFI and PAE would be awesome I think personally. Here's a bit of a better shot that shows off the airport scenery:7.jpgOh, and there's some nice wing details visible there too... tongue.gif
Oh my,When i saw this i thought it was a pic of a real NG with a blue border and a PMDG logo put onto it lol!Look at the detail on the actuators etc! WOWblink.gif

Ooohhh My God, seriously! What a very very nice wingview shot. First seconde I thought: Oh, tabs is posting a real wingview picture. After 5 secondes I realised it was just the NGX!

Even the AoA Sensor is moving. On the apron pics it's hanging down and in flight it moves along with the air streaming around it. Wow!

I've been on a lot of real NG flights in the past few months, I don't recall hearing the brakes in any real way. I'd assume it's similar to a car where brakes that are making noise are brakes that aren't working the way they should be. The reversers are very loud at that point anyway too. We do have selectable two options for brakes though - steel vs. carbon and they have different deceleration rates, different heating models etc.
Thanks! I think you are right on that. Ricardo de Paula

That's pretty impressive. I think the first days after release might just be spent on the ramp figuring out how best to "pimp" my ride. I was going to wait 'til release before getting the manuals but it does seem this plane will some know-how to truly appreciate.

There's something else of major note in that last shot too besides the terrain... something no one's been able to do in FS until now. tongue.gif
Has anyone ever done an altitude trend vector before? Bit of a stab in the dark but I can't recall ever having seen one before on an FS aircraft!

The graphics are really amazing. I'm just wondering how will it impact my FPS :(.

1. Those are actually grease marks, not stretched textures. I'll take a close up pic of the wheel later so you can see. That's how it looked on the real NG we photographed for the textures.2. Our model is made using the actual Boeing engineering diagrams and dimensions - if our model's wrong, their blueprints are too. We'll double check it, but I really think this is just a matter of the camera angle, possible warping from displaying a 3D object on a 2D screen etc.It looks much more like your pics here:NGX_External_Preview_013.jpg

+1. I wanted to ask this too but as Ryan said some weeks ago that the liveries would be the last thing of the development I thought that they wouldn't be ready yet.

DJ please, best Livery in the world.
