Man, I can't tell you how many times I bit my lip wanting to chime in on all the naysayers complaining about this and that, knowing that with a little patience the next update would be phenomenal. And in usual PMDG style, you guys didn't disappoint. No doubt about it, there is no equal to what you guys have done and not enough words to express my amazement. And there probably won't be another developer who would or could build another of these babies to the spec you have. So THANK YOU!BTW, I bought the ORBX PNW scenery after hearing you guys gush about it, and it was absolutely worth it! Can't wait to put the two together!

With respect PMDG, but that FB photo isn't in FSX.. is it?

From their FB page:
That's not scenery guys, it's just a background - the model shot is from the sim, but the background is rendered. We just did that to make for a nice wallpaper.

I was looking at this picture...NGX_External_Preview_011.jpg...and saw the MCP buttons. I remembered the different avionics of the 737, the Collins and Honeywell. You said that both will be included but beside the MCP, what are the differences between those two avionics suites?BTW, it seems that we have a UFO in sight. Do you see that small point beside the ATT indicator on the HUD?

Hey! Here's a picture I just found at Facebook that wasn't posted here yet. It's at FB for about 6 hours.180651_181913215181804_165758250130634_421696_1321878_n.jpgLooks like PMDG has its own 737 and didn't tell us anythingShame%20On%20You.gif . EDIT: What's that thing on top?
That shot looks like the diecast 1/200 models I collect by Geminijets (which happen to be in Reno as well)

PMDG j41, 747-400x, 747-8i/f, NGX.......Finally!!!!

And a typerating! Just%20Kidding.gif
I hearby delcare that myself is now typerated! I somely swear to read the instructions before my first flight :( Well, OK, maybe before the second flight Big%20Grin.gif Actually, I'm looking forward to learning more about the real aircraft through the wonderful minutia and detailing. For example, I never knew one of the vanes near the nose was called a AoA Indexer until reading this thread today; or least I had forgotten it. This is the kind of info and learning experience that leans FS more towards a sim and not just a game. I can't wait PMDG, looking great :(

The Collins MCP/AP (which is what's shown here) can do CAT IIIB autolands - the older Honeywell style one cannot. That's the only real avionics difference between the two - the rest is just the look and button layout. The Collins is more like the 777 MCP's layout.Pretty sure the "UFO" is just some AI traffic.

that's not a UFO(using the common definition of the conspiracy theorists and paranoids), it is a weather balloon or a flare from an aircraft. There's nothing for you to see there, move along :( :( :( LOL.gif Ricardo de Paula

Good one. Changing subject from the NGX (what the hell???), have you ever watched UFO Hunters at The History Channel? Very good program (don't worry, I'm not paranoic nor am I a CIA agent (well, if I were and told you so I'd have to kill you and everybody else who read this, but I won't)). I used to watch every day. Now I stopped because they don't have new episodes and reruns stop being interesting after you watch them 3 or 4 times.

I don't have the tendency to watch those TV programs, because there is a lot of nothing and barely any science. Smetimes, when there's nothing to watch, I may give a glance or two. I do like the Mayday! or Air Crash investigation that shows up in National Geographic, Monsters Inside me and Engineering Connections. Though I love top gear for their stunts, because personally I don't have much interests for cars. :(

check out this video, it is about the 737 ngx. I found in on Youtube.

Yeah, it don't have much science but the stories are pretty good to see.I LOVE Air Crash Investigation. It's funny because I want to become a commercial pilot and my mom asks me all the time why do I watch this kind of programs if I want to be a pilot? Well, I tell her that this way I can see what other pilots did wrong and learn how to avoid those same mistakes.

There's something else of major note in that last shot too besides the terrain... something no one's been able to do in FS until now. tongue.gifBut yes, this puts the questions about EGPWS to rest... it's all there, fully modelled with all the correct logic and symbology.
Ryan,Don't know if other developers did this on their HUD's.I see a Flight Path Vector symbol that predicts the Touchdown point. The MD11 has this FPV on the PFD only, now on the NGX it is projected on the outside world, through the HUD.Nice work.Regards,Harry
