Externalities and the NGX

The only question left to ask is if we'll get some ORBX PeopleFlow Crewmembers.Especially a co-pilot. I want him to do the walk-around - and maybe fly the aircraft, because we all know I'll be too busy wondering how quality of this magnitude is even possible to fly the aircraft safely. Most impressive guys. You should work for Boeing's sim department.

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

Everything looks so amazing! Just a few questions:1. As some of us like to fly with wing views, would it be possible to replace the exterior sound with the interior aircraft sound when in wing view?2. I've flown on Westjet's 737NGs many times, and I've noticed that when the flaps are lowered for takeoff at idle engine speeds, they tend to vibrate very slightly - I imagine due to engine vibration or thrust. Will this be modelled as well?3. Lastly, what channels will we get with the satellite antenna? :PCan't wait to fly this bird! So much so that I just applied to several colleges to start my professional pilot career!! Thanks again for all your hard work, and putting up with the less-patient of us!Best,Troy Kaye

There's something else of major note in that last shot too besides the terrain... something no one's been able to do in FS until now. tongue.gifBut yes, this puts the questions about EGPWS to rest... it's all there, fully modelled with all the correct logic and symbology.
That would be the terrain mapping that is realistic and completely accurate.

I can't be in all places at once. If you see someone is having an issue with an Angle of Attack product, or something that should be brought to my attention, please message me. I want everyone to have a stellar experience with AOA. Thanks so much!

Angle of Attack

Even the brief glimpse of the terrain mapping in the VC shot looks pretty cool. That will certainly add to the fun of flying into airports in mountainous regions. Can't wait to see more of it.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh THAT IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can`t wait for it to be released!!! When is it expected to be released? Something tells me its soon now that the external images have been released. Also I better start learning the basics of using the head up gear. That is beautiful. But the pmdg 747 will always be my number 1 favorite even though this is more detailed XD

WOW! That looks amazing. Can I sue for injuries sustained falling out my chair looking at those images? :(

When we change external options in the FMC will it save our preferences for the next time we fly?

That would be the terrain mapping that is realistic and completely accurate.
Chris,Does Ryan say "besides the terrain" and EGPWS that is already there?Think you have to look for something else.Regards,Harry

I'm going to bed now and hope that when I wake up tomorow I have the same great surprise I had todayNail%20Biting.gif. Can't wait to see the new interior updates and probably some new videos. The release is right around the corner now. BTW, we've seen everything: the VC, exterior, BUT what about the 2D?

(Okay- another little detail: There are cabin zone temperature sensors located in various places inside the airplane, and some of them are located adjacent to doors... So, over time you will notice a change in zone temperature depending upon the difference between outside temperature and cabin air temp, as well as whether the door in question is opened or closed... Geeky? Probably... But sometimes we just like the little touches that hardly anyone will notice. They make a product COMPLETE...)
- Now that's pedantic :(
It's PNW - we certainly would not be opposed to ORBX doing it though - a "Boeing Airports" pack of RNT, BFI and PAE would be awesome I think personally.
Yep, me too, I have PNW and love it, just wondered if you'd come to some arrangement with Orbx
Oh, and there's some nice wing details visible there too... tongue.gif
Very nice they are too! :(

I'm an audiophile, and because of that I wonder how much has gone into the sounds on this plane. I hope as much as has gone into the visual model. Gr8 sound is really important to me, and I find quite a few planes out there that don't have the best sound. It must be difficult to get right, as well one person's right is another's wrong. A couple of planes I own that I really like otherwise have terrible sound packages. I guess I should be more specific: engine sounds mostly. For example, engine sounds for the Cessna Citation X just sound awful to me. Like beer cans in a food processor! It's quite a bird otherwise. Sounds for the PMDG J41 I don't care for as well. It may be just that these particular aircraft just have engines sounds that are unpleasant and uninspiring to me, but then again I don't get off on perfectly simulated fugly sound! I like the PMDG 747X sounds, though I must say the Super MD-80's spoilers make an awesome sound!Comments on the sound package for the 737NGX?Noel

Back in the flap subject a few pages ago it made think of something... Would flap disagree been simulated? Never saw it anywhere! And the new shots look amazing!

When Mr. Randazzo said that you had "... "break" a bunch of stuff in order to get the new goodies installed..." is that mean a problem or you guys had just a new idea?
Fernando-Ah- sorry if this comment was confusing. What I meant in my comment about "breaking" stuff is that we developed a few new technologies in order to enhance the capabilities and realism of the NGX, and getting them installed required us to take apart a few things in the VC and on the external model. As we sorted out the technology implementation, the VC had parts that were non functional... as did the visual model... So we decided to just keep the hangar doors closed so you wouldn't see things in their "broken" state.So- it was an intentional "breaking stuff" on our part.
Slap my &@($* and call me Sally!

Sorry not being able to say anything else than wonderful. I don't remember ever have waited so much for something in my life (lol) Again folks, great job and I like the way things are going well and in the good direction. I still hope you guys plan to model the P8 poseidon so it can be fully useable with the upcomming TACPAC from VRS ;)Oh and I just hope the upcoming 777 will take a little less time than this one to program, for everyone !!! ;)
