Is there consensus on what the 'other two' in dev are?

Look at the history of PMDG and MSFS - years between major aircraft releases and non concurrently. The Beech aircraft constituted their dabble in "lite" stuff, so I don't particularly count it.I know they've "streamlined" their process and all that, but I've yet to see concurrent releases from PMDG. I expect the following with all PMDG major releases1) That it'll go at least a year or more past original target release 2) That it'll need to be patched at least once3) That it'll be wildly successful and raise the bar4) That they'll maintain their dominance at the top of the quality food chain

Surely, PMDG realise that and plan to take advantage of it.
I know the majority ownership post was a joke, but you should also realise that there's another post alluding to their intentions to continue the Airbus path because of a strategic partnership with Boeing. One from Robert:
1) Give at least ten seconds of thought to the fact that we have a strategic partner in Boeing... That might help you make some guesses about our development agenda.
( http://forum.avsim.net/topic/318191-wheres-the-airbus-that-was-promised-3-years-ago/page__view__findpost__p__1875733 )Another from Ryan:
I don't have anything to tell you on whether we're still going to do a 320 or not - it's not outright canceled, I know that much. If we do it it'll come much later though. No one is prohibiting us from making any type of aircraft by the way, just to shoot that rumor down. I'd personally love to see us do it, but other business considerations have to come first.

oh i totally agree. Both companies wouldnt step on eachother's toes. I meant that level d would hand over the torch to pmdg lol. Since appearently they are working on the 757 they would be like...."since we know you guys do a breath taking job of making aircraft we knkw you will do our baby justice." Lol i personally just bought the 767 back in march for my birthday and i think its amazing....its showing its age graphically but systematically....at least i cant tell. Ignorwnce is bliss haha.
That would be pretty cool, I would love to see Level D redo their own 767 though. Have you installed Andre Folkers VC mod? It's available in the members download section and is pretty simple to install, oh and there is a gauge fix to remedy the start-up/FMC dump issue.

I know that some of the newer paints i downloaded came with newer vc textures.which really helped to make it look better. I also downloaded something from their forums that fixed the hung starts. I believe it was a beta guage or something. I am 100% satisfied with the purchase. After throwing out the cs version i needed a solid 767. I knew i could count on level d to fill the gap in my hangar.

FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠

Why are you all asking about an A320? Don't you know that an A320 is under development by Flight Sim Labs?If you have flown their Concorde then you'd know that they are similar to PMDGs level of systemdepth, so why don't you just wait for it and then see if there's the need for an PMDG A320?Let PMDG do their Boeings or whatever they want to do, it will get great anyway.

Quality Wings has a 787 under development. They aren't as good as PMDG, but I'm wondering if it would be possible to make a good 787 anyway as there aren't enough datas from the real plane, are they?

Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!

I think 787 is definitely in their queue, and as much as I would love to see a A318/319/320/321 Family done by PMDG I think it more probable they would do a Boeing/McDonnell Douglas legacy aircraft like the 717 or a 747 redo based on the -8i/F. Who knows maybe they will go historic on us a do a 707, 727, 737-100/200, or 737 Classic(300/400/500).I do not think they will do either a 767 or 757 as Level-D has these covered. Also I think it unlikely they do any jets from the RJ producers like Bombardier, Embraer, or Sukhoi(who BTW will deliver the 1st Superjet on Tuesday). There's my $0.02

Indeed they do, been a while since I read about FSL working on the A320, I checked their webpage and it shows as being the "A3xx Master Series - A320" so it does look like Lefteris is not restricting it to one AC type, rather the whole family. As far as any other AC I would consider my hanger full once the NGX, 757, 777 a new PMDG 747X/8i, new Level D 767 and A319/320/330/340/350 and A380 are produced. I doubt I would consider anything after that as the 787 for example does not interest me. I now realize with that shopping list I may have to wait between 12 to 15 years for it to be satisfied.

I think PMDG won´t produce an Airbus in the next few years, because they haven´t produced all Boeings until now. I think after they´ve finished the T7 (Which won´t happen until the end of 2012 i think) they probably continue with the 787 and remaking the 747 . And if this one is finished (which could take several years again...) then we will maybe see an Airbus. But my feeling says to me that until the T7 is released, many things willl happen in the flightsimulator world...Just my 2 cents

Not to hijack the thread but are you saying LVL-D has come out with a beta gauge that fixes the hung starts and having to reprogram the fms for fsx users? As well they have updated vc textures? I never bought the lvl-d 767 for fsx as I have FSX-Acceleration and my understanding was it never really worked right with it.

As well they have updated vc textures?
The updated VC textures have been around for a long time now. They released a winglet update a while back, maybe 5 months ago or so, and included in the update is the VC textures. You dont need to run the winglet update to get the VC textures though. You can download those seperately and install them in the regular 767 base pack install if you wish.Personally, the winglet update and the VC textures have brought some new life into the 767 for me. Not that I was tired of it, but its nice to get a visual update as well at the option to use a winglet model that also representst the fuel savings associated with it, as well as the visual of the winglets themselves.Sean Campbell

Sorry guys, you are all a long way off the mark. The two secret projects PMDG are working on in secret are the Westland Woodpigeon and a Briggs & Stratton lawn mower.

How fast would the lawn mower go?

It will have Terrain Following Radar (TFR), it will be self-propelled, it will have a 70 litre capacity for holding pax (grass) and a top speed of 7.3km/h. This information was hacked from Robert's personal home computer by a friend of a friend of a friend who wishes to remain annonymous. Shhh! :(
