PMDG 737 NGX Approach Checklist, please!

No need to have doubts, the rest of the models are coming. We did the -800 first because that was the aircraft that the team went and photographed for reference images to build the VC and exterior model. It is only natural that we did the variant we photographed for obvious reasons - makes life easier modeling. Trust me when I say the other variants are forth coming :-)Cheers,
Good enough for mebiggrin.gif Thanks for the reply.

A 25 knot crosswind makes it challenging for a pilot to accurately fly the airplane down to the runway surface with minimum control inputs, but when you are looking at the runway through the center hold of the velocity vector- all that remains is proper energy management and you are home free!
Robert, Was there any opposite rudder used in the last moment (at flare) to align the fuselage with the runway? I don't think I saw that (watched a few times) hence my question.FSX is not really naturally equipped for cross-control therefore my interest.Visually it was extremely satisfying demo.

Can I please insist in the manuals? will the QRH be available and will they be printable? It's not that I care all that much, but this IFly a really excited user in the FSX forums has been holding it against the NGX:

I still wonder if you can print the pdf manuals or if you're supposed to buy the 170+ Dollar manuals from their shop to be able to use some paper. So far, a clear answer was either avoided or forgotten. The other thing that people mention isn't the fact that 'oops, some PMDG news suddenly appear' but the way they did not before iFly announced their close to release status. I don't have any trouble with a dev advertising his stuff, but if he plays the funny 'what, we have a competitor?' game and is in beta for a month now although he promised to tell people when beta starts, he may not have to act surprised if this influences some of the fine image.Of course, playing fair, people at PMDG are humans too, showing some nerves now. Can't blame them for this. Now, if the PMDG guys play fair on that manual printing question, everything will be fine. And of course those headlights of the aircraft aren't a first in the sim, but a nice addition to the plane. Will it have VC rain effects by the way? Would be nice too and also would stress the fidelity love on the product.

I guess I do! I'm not big with reggae, and I always thought BM sung it. Learned something new.

I've never heard Barry Manilow sing it :(

All this stuff abouy manuals is pure conjecture. The last official word from Robert was that they still hadn't reached agreement with Boeing as to what could and couldn't be done. Everyone else is guessing and then people get wound up about other's guesses, situation normal around here.

Time to put the manuals stuff to bed - consider this the official facts/confirmation:1. Both FCOMs, the FTCM and the QRH are included as PDFs. These are the real life Boeing manuals, just like the ones we're selling.2. The manuals are printable.3. There will be a separate PMDG-written portion of the manual set that will contain the general overview and methodologies of the product (click spots etc), the sim-related features like the FMC options, failures, fuel/payload stuff, and the tutorial flights.4. The PMDG written portion will be freely downloadable - the tutorial flights are very detailed and will give you enough to easily judge the quality and completeness of the product for those that like to read manuals first. The Boeing manuals are not going to be freely downloadable, we couldn't get permission for that, but that's the only limitation.
