Hear hear,I personally haven't and don't intend to purchase the iFly NG but I have checked out their forum and the developers themselves seem like a bunch of nice guys working hard doing their best at deveopling and supporting. No need for anyone to bash what they're doing, flight sim community is too small and we need all we can get.

I played around with the brand x plane again tonight and now I got it working good, it will hold me over until the ngx comes out. I am not going to get a refund if the NGX comes out in 2 or 3 weeks or so, because the way I see it for 55 bucks if I fly it for a month I feel it was worth it. Plus I have a feeling I am goign to need some upgrades for the PMDG so I may have to fly the brand x plane for a bit longer while I buy the parts for a upgrade. They seem like nice guys over there but I feel they might have rushed release to beat the NGX to the market, Honestly that might have been a wise choice for them since the pmdg NGX will overshadow it once it is released.

Matheus-Yes- our name doesn't directly match the mission but as one user pointed out- we started out making manuals, then became known colloquially as "PMDG" by users of this forum.During the nearly 15 years of operations, PMDG has become multiple entities. The entity that most of you know as "PMDG" is actually called PMDG Simulations. This company will sell you the NGX license, manage your customer experience and provide you with technical support. PMDG itself remains the same, but is focused only on product development.There are a few other pieces to the puzzle as well, but they aren't important to what you meant. We won't abandon the original name or the PMDG moniker- as it is our heritage- and we are suitably proud of it.

It's been a while, Rob, since I recall you starting PMDG at the time that you were intending to do your first manual for a certain B744 product. ( I can also recall you and I e- mailing each other when we had both bought that B744 product, neither of us could get it to work.....). Think of how far we have come now with FSX products, from those old DOS days ( DOS used to be an OS, for most folks who have probably never heard of it). :)Bruce.

+1, same here. got it and my own opinion. but will get the ngx, too, as all other pmdg aircraft, must be an addiction to excellent work and quality. but as you said, will keep the other x as 4 times cinema (actually twice with my wife) costs the same for max 4 hrs leisure time. these 4 hrs I already exceeded now. tonight is mom's night out and I have a full evening simming. yehaaa!

same here I like the 737 so I will get both and have the option. Anyone who makes addons for FS series needs all the help they can get. Less negative, more positive.

Well, respectfully, you're not a moderator and I don't see what harm it does to discuss it. Until they deputize you as a moderator, I'd suggest not trying to tell others what to do. If PMDG has a problem with the topic, I'm sure they'll let that be known.-john rodgers

You're missing the point a bit, mate. You're not a moderator, therefore you shouldn't be telling other people what to do, no matter if you're right or wrong. I don't have a problem with not discussing pricing per PMDG wishes but I don't give a da** what you think about it. I do however have a problem with teenaged nobodies who think they're a somebody who then think they can tell others what to do when they have no real authority to do so. -john rodgers

In the next few days we anticipate rolling the NGX out to our wider beta team- and they will carry the product through the installation/flying/documentation portion of our testing process.

If you look verrry closely you will see the lads getting the hook ready to end this thread. NAMES we need NAMES. Hopefully the NGX will be about before all this talk of other products and other BS continues.
