What Scenery would you like in FSX?

Aug. 8th, how the heck are you going to pull that off?You better plan on working 24/7 if you're going to release a payware version of KSAN by then considering it takes folks like FSDreamteam, FlyTampa, ORBX, etc, usually 6 months or longer to do a quality version of any airport, and those guys have years of experience doing it.Anyway, KSAN is a nice choice since the only other team working on it is Cielosim and it seems that there version is going to first be for FS9 then for FSX later on, but it seems that the project has been at a stand still for a long time now.Look forward to seeing the results.Sean Campbell
Well it's a good question. I'm glad you asked. I usually finish my ground poly in a week or two, maximum 3 weeks. I've planed on making at least 50 custom objects and around 50 textures. Plus the tweaking it will not take me more than 8 weeks. I've myself a "lot of experience" in 3d modeling. My first 3d model was an A380 (this A380 "QUANTAS" OR QANTAS?:() since 2008 . I've also had some experience with character and vehicle modeling with 3ds max. So basically the modeling part is not a concern for me. Texturing is also a "hobby" for me (I like drawing too). Those folks you cited are of course good but I really can do what I see in those scenery (by myself :)! :()With only my flight training going on in this summer I will have plenty of time to work on that project. So you just wait and see. You can even have animated peoples who knows?

I look forward to it, I just hope you dont get burnt out going at it too fast a pace. If you can start cranking out good quality airports to populate the FSX world at that rate (2 months) you can probably make some money. I always wished that the guys I names above had larger development teams that would be able to cranky out sceneries at a break neck pace. Unfortunately, most of the time it takes them 1/2 a year due to the complexity and quality, although they are worth the wait, it would be pretty cool to be able to get a new mid to large size hub every two months.Keep us posted with KSAN so we can see your progress. It would be cool if you can test it with MegaScenery SoCal since a lot of users like me will probably use it in conjunction with that photoreal ground set. I wouldn't worry about the moving people too much. While the ORBX moving people or PeopleFlow as they call it looks cool, after a while it kind of looks funny seeing the same people going thru the same animations over and over or walking in circlesSean Campbell

Don't worry It's going to be a payware not a freeware and for me that means a lot. I don't feel like working on the same project for half a year. 3 months are enough for this airport. I don't know how can they take 6 months to develop certain airports when they are a team and they have all available resources. Maybe they're not full time. I didn't want to start a payware project unless I was certain to finish them with a good quality in a 3 months period. I've done several airports before and two with high quality. I may be exaggerating when I say the best scenery but I'll make something that's worth its price.

hows about good ole Nadi International Airport - NFFN. This is the main international airport in Fiji and is served by a multitude of airlines including Air Pacific (home base), Jetstar, Virgin Blue, Korean Airlines, etc.

Please do CYYZ, I'm so tired of requesting this airport, I've been begging for 13 years now, and still nowone has ever done a good quality airport for the lately upgraded Pearson International. Please submit your vote for CYYZ!David DD

If I could choose any scenery, it would be KSEA. KSEA is neglected by developers. But realistically, it would be nice to have Boeing field in Seattle as a scenery.

The reason it's neglected is because for some reason, the FPS in Seattle is awful and developers are avoiding the area.

Santa Barbara Airport would be great. They are opening a new terminalin July with 3 jetways. I can get you all of the pictures you want.

Your doing KSAN? Good on you, SAN will fit quite nicely in my FSX world. I hope it's not just a bunch of photo scenery with horrid looking buildings slapped on top of it. Looking forward to seeing it.

KGGG would do it for me. I only live a few miles away and it's also an alternate landing site for the upcoming PMDG space shuttle. Sorry guys, I couldn't keep that secret project a secret any longer... Just%20Kidding.gif

Northwest Florida Beaches Intl (KECP), which is just outside of Panama City, FL, is a nice little airport surrounded by great scenery. Best of all, its brand new!

KSEA is neglected by developers.
Neglected? Joking? What about FlyTampa version that has been around for a long time? Also, if I am not mistaken it is part of ORBX-PNW -perhaps with not full blown detail but it is. We have had plenty of KSEA - enough.
