I think the silence from PMDG is just them having a break. They know that once its released, its all hands on deck for support etc.

I agree. Either that or just making sure that everything's ready for release. I'm just taking this time to say goodbye to my MD-11 because I know that I will likely never touch her again. I think she'll get over it. ;)

As awesome as the NGX is going to be I just have a special place in my heart for tri-holers, and I love my MD-11! She may be slightly neglected after NGX, but never forgotten. Just have to wait for the (hopefully) BBJ2/3 that may come in the future.

You said it all, man. You said it all. After some time with the NGX, I may at some point get back to the MD-11. Just don't know how the MD-11 will stay after PMDG releases the 777, though But one thing is for sure, I'll never unnistall it. At some point I'll start missing the plane really hard and will do another flight or two.

I have the same with the JS41. Love her character, her handling and her little quirks. I still take her out in the virtual skies as much as I can and she always puts a smile on my face.

Agree. If I were RSR I would definitely NOT release on or before Aug 4th as that is his b-day. Better enjoy time and celebrate with friends and family instead of being dragged to the support forum and hit F5 to see whether a previously undiscovered bug or show stopper was found.

I think it is a great birthday present and Robert said sort of that it would be on his birthday.Tomorrow there will be an anouncement, I guess. The last build was made (facebook post), so this can't go wrong. For me it is now the third of august, 10.00AM. Have to wait until Friday due to something stupid like time zones. It would make people cry if the plane is not released on the 4th!
