August 17, 201114 yr Yeah, there are some differences regarding the igniters, basically SOP differences and preferences each company adopts, but yeah, alternate between flights or use Left one day, Right on the the next day, that kinda stuffActually, lot's of things on your flow checks are different from one company to another, but it gets the job done either way, nice job! August 17, 201114 yr All that has changed is the one typo. Excellent, thanks for the confirm. Many thanks for taking the time to create this David. Ed Haslam
August 17, 201114 yr Thank you David, I was looking for a checklist with only those "killer items" and this checklist is perfect. Tobias
August 17, 201114 yr Glad you got this back up, although I agree with others that uploading the Avsim file library is the best way to distribute this checklist. I will get lost in the forums over time. Mark. Mark CYYZ
August 17, 201114 yr Thanks for this David, it's very handy. Just printed and laminated v2 for use in my flight simming tonight. Cheers Rhydian Yeoman
August 17, 201114 yr I got it saved and doing your check list , but how the heck do you go back to default if you want to start it with th engines running ? Louis Massicotte Caroline Alberta
August 17, 201114 yr Great list you've got here. Just a note of feedback on engine start: IIRC, per Boeing, engine ignition should be set to A/B on alternating flights/days/etc. I think some airlines use A for odd flight numbers, B for even. In any event it's to keep use of the ignition systems equal on starts. It should be set to A or B during the preflight flow and as far as I know should stay that way unless an abnormal checklist calls for it to be set to "both." I don't have my FCOM in front of me, but I'm sure it shouldn't be touched during the engine start procedure. edit: of course Mats had me beat on this... Lee Barber - Rochester, NY PPL-G
August 17, 201114 yr I got it saved and doing your check list , but how the heck do you go back to default if you want to start it with th engines running ? You can change the start up situation in the CDU PMDG Settings. Manfred A day without laughter, is a day without living.
August 17, 201114 yr I've been trying for some thing like 2 hours - When i went cold and dark i can't get the effis panels to light up - i'm gonna uninstall the whole works cause i've been at this to a point where i'm losing patience - i tried what you said in the cdu settings but no way. August 17, 201114 yr After 2 hours or more hours i got it . After i UNinstalled it it was the same, i was pretty hi centered there for a while . Louis Massicotte Caroline Alberta
August 17, 201114 yr Everyone who has said they have followed this checklist if fibbing. No where does it tell you to open the fuel cutoff valves. For an hour I thought I had missed an obscure little switch somewhere, the engines wouldn't start and I couldn't see the cutoff valves due to my poorly positioned EZdok angle. I thought PMDG had built me a couple of bad CFM's. But everything is A OK now. You might want to include, in Revision Three somewhere, OPEN THE FREAKIN' FUEL CUTOFF VALVES. Sure you might say, well ... DUH ... but this is a checklist, step by step, from cold and dark. The initial state of the aircraft should have had the fuel cutoff valves shut. Thanks again for the list. Dennis Trawick Screen Shot Forum Rules
August 18, 201114 yr Ha. NEVER MIND. I was completely misreading the engine start procedure. The fuel cutoff valves are actually called ENGINE START LEVERS ... doesn't make much sense, but there you go. I need one of them switches posters. MY BAD. Please disregard. Just trying to run up my number of posts. Dennis Trawick Screen Shot Forum Rules
