Thank-you to everyone who has posted here. This hobby has brought me much joy since the days of FS4 on my very first computer, an Apple IIE.

Aren't you a real pilot?

No, something more nerve racking then that: a high school science teacher in one of the lowest performing school districts in the USA. (Go Lions, and Red Wings)

Thanks for being a dev for an AWESOME product! :)

Thanks, but I can't code a single line of anything unless you count Apple Basic or Logo, where you controlled a little turtle moving around the screen!

that's a crazy amount of dedication to these forums over the past 9 years.
That makes it at least some 6 posts a day!Dedication is the most gentle word I would use here. Salute_Smiley_Standard.gifCongrats, Jim!

Good job Jim!

Congratulations, you help society by educating society's next generation! Teaching is unfortunately rather undervalued and underpaid profession these days... I still have many fond memories of my high-school science teachers from many years ago. BTW, I've always though flightsim could be a great tool to teach kids applied math (calculus) and physics (vector algebra) as well as very practical stuff like gauge reading, map reading, navigation, eye-hand coordination and of course computer use. while having loads of fun. Do you have a flightsim club at your school? Lucky you, if you wanted to take glider flying lessons (or just go for a ride to see what flying a glider is like) there are three Soaring Clubs in your neck of the woods:
  1. Sandhill Soaring Club (Ann Arbor, http://www.sandhillsoaring.org),
  2. Marshall Soaring Club (Marshall, http://www.soaringclub.org), and
  3. Adrian Soaring Club, (Adrian, http://www.localhangar.com/cgi-bin/clubs/club_home.pl?CLUBNO=4)

Cheers, - jahman.

That would be great.

I wish you were my teacher! That would be awesome.
