The two biggest scenery things I think they can do is add winter textures (by far the biggest complaint I have, though I think they said they will address that in an update) and add more light colors. When I look out of an airplane window at night, I see a lot of blue-ish lights, not just the yellow in these.Also, does anyone else think that this will help raise the standards for scenery development? In fsx many airport addons are all about the perfectly recreated buildings and lighting, though to some extent XP10 will do this out of the box. The actual airport scenery itself can always be improved, but properly placed buildings will no longer be such a big deal.

And I forgot - these are in fact 'weeds', hence their longer dimensions, I did consult the Mammoth-Yosemite county offices in researching the weeds extensively (even smoked some..).I'll try and track down the VB cans, these are high-fidelity models prepared after my own 'flights' and consulting various 'pilots'...

I'm curious why there is no news of all these new screenshots on the avsim front page.Could any mods please possibly shed some light? We are seeing things that have never been done before and I would have thought they would be newsworthy.

Err, I don't combine the 2, but if I did, I reckon I'd be better, smoother due to delayed groggy reflexes! Anyway, I'd already smoked too much grass to get those flower colors nice and vivid..

I understand what you mean BUT I think the immersion factor look a lot better in XP-10 (just my honest opinion) I just hate roads cutting thrue buildings, parking lots and baseball fields.....I also think that 3rd party dev. can only improve XP-10 with peoples, sounds and other stuff that can make XP-10 more alive......still....no dogs in my new back yard.
Nice to see you here in the XP forum Alain, and I could not agree with you more. The treatment of the roads and going through undersized buildings, over-sized houses, blurry parking lots, etc. is so 2006. I am really glad to see a modern simulator being built.Regarding your concern about dogs in your backyard, that will be a new simulator plug in called X-Poo version 1.0, which will include rising steam coming from the pup's gift. :)

all we have been talking about is the shadows of trucks ... can someone start a thread to shed some light on ATC, AI, the single detailed airport (why only one), the interface, etc. Lets start a thread that addresses the core of XP10 ...

The only thing we have talked about is shadows of trucks? We've posted scenery screenshots, autogen screenshots, 3d volumetric cloud screenshots, videos of FSWeekend, discussed the scenery, discussed the framerates and hardware needed, discussed how the AI uses the CPU, had 2 X Plane team members make several posts to try and clarify certain things, I could go on. And you say that all we have discussed is truck shadows? There have been at least 2 videos of XP10 AI. The interface looks to be the same one that has been used for the past 5 or so versions. I doubt it's getting changed and I doubt the x plane community would want it changed. We've grown used to it. Some of us for up to 10 years. And you say we have only discussed truck shadows. Honestly, some people totally baffle me.

Crank up a lot of the settings on any game or simulator, you will see fps drop.

I take it you did not pay much attention during those videos, even the man himself said that it seemed like he was the only person left on the planet that liked the X-Plane menus. I must admit that the total lack of airports with buildings is simply not on, 10 years we have had that luxury from MS and we are still waiting for it by default from XP.

He was lying- I actually like the menus too, ESP as they're so powerful. Maybe it's coz I use Microsoft Excel quite a bit in my job.

I'm not sure I understood one part of your post. Are you saying that X Plane has a total lack of airports, airports and buildings or just buildings at the airports that ARE in x plane?I can tell you, X Plane has airports, airport buildings and also sloped runways that follow the terrain. Something that MSFS hasn't had in 19 years.EDIT: I want to correct something. Not just sloped runways, but runways that follow any kind of terrain.
